back to 2000.
Organized by the Egyptian Petroleum Sector, MOC is the most important international energy
meeting on the southern shore of the Mediterranean region.
MOC is a sister event with OMC – Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition which
takes place in Ravenna, ITALY and they both keep focusing E&P companies, contractors, service
companies and suppliers to the Mediterranean Offshore Oil&Gas sector. The companies keep
recognising in MOC and OMC a defining meeting points where to discuss about the major
Oil&Gas issues and where industry comes together to network, learn and grow.

CLEAR & PRESENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN EGYPTInternational exploration tenders on new exploratory
areas in the Red Sea and West of the Mediterranean.
The West Nile Delta, Nooros, Atoll, and Zohr field are
providing a substantial increase to Egypts natural gas
supply.
A digital information bank is to be established and a new
investment map is aiming to increase opportunities in
research and exploration.Zohr field with reserves of 22 trillion cubic
feet (Tcf) currently is producing 1.1 billion cubic
feet (Bcf ) per day; is expected to increase to
2.7 Bcf per day by the end of 2019.
Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company is preparing
a new bid round when final data for the Geology and
geophysics survey are accomplished to support future
license. The data will be available from December 2018
for the frontier of Egypt’s Western Mediterranean Sea, to
optimize availability and value for blocks evaluation.
Egypt has signed 83 new upstream
agreements with investments of US $ 15.5
bilion for different geological layers in Nile
Delta, Western Desert and Gulf of Suez areas.
The Minister announced that the oil sector will
continue to sign more petroleum agreements
as these agreements are considered the
cornerstone for achieving new oil discoveries
and attracting more investments.
Egypt intends to offer the first upstream
bidround in the Red Sea to investors in the
exploration domain.
Egypt and Cyprus sign the agreement for
the construction of an underwater pipeline
to export natural gas.
The Egyptian oil sector continues to put forward
international bids and new agreements in order to
develop the oil & gas resources leading to increase oil
production to meet the needs of the local market and
reduce the oil imports.
