Celebrating 40 years of Legal Aid Service of Broward County and 10 years of
Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida
WHO: Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) and Coast to Coast
Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) are the only two non-profit
organizations in Broward County that provide free civil legal
services to the poor and disadvantaged. Through the 17 programs
the organizations manage, assistance is afforded to children in
foster care, the homeless, children in need of special education,
victims of domestic violence, veterans, returning military and
senior citizens in order to improve their lifestyle and living
conditions and set clients on a path toward self-sufficiency.
WHAT: The annual For The Public Good fundraiser recognizes and honors
the pro bono services of individuals, corporations, law firms and
special groups who have supported the missions of LAS and CCLA
to aid the underserved population in Broward County. It is the
premier pro bono recognition event of the year drawing 425
guests from across the business and legal community. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of
Legal Aid in Broward County – a crowning achievement in social justice and public interest
advocacy.
