Now theatergoers have the opportunity to put their spin on it by entering the SINGING OF A “White Christmas” COVER CONTEST. CONTEST RULES ARE: 1. Grab your friends, mics, video cameras and instruments! 2. Record your own rendition of the song, no longer than three minutes. Videos must be appropriate for viewers of all ages. 3. Upload it to your YouTube account and e-mail it to [email protected]. Be sure to include your name, e-mail address and phone number in the e-mail so that we can contact you if you win. 4. We’ll upload the video to our website and a panel of staff judges will pick one winner in four categories: Best Male Solo, Best Female Solo, Best Duo, and Best Ensemble/Family. All submissions must be received by Thursday, December 6 and winners will be notified by Monday, December 10. Winners will receive a deck of Syracuse First Dining Cards and tickets to see White Christmas. Individuals in each category will receive a pair of tickets to see the show, limit six tickets total for the family/ensemble category. Winners will also have the opportunity to perform their covers at the White Christmas Happy Hour event on Thursday, December 13 at 6 p.m.!

SINGING OF A “White Christmas” COVER CONTEST Syracuse Stage contest winners to perform at Happy Hour

Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” is the most-recorded song in American musical history. Now theatergoers have the opportunity to put their spin on it by entering the SINGING OF A “White Christmas” COVER CONTEST. CONTEST RULES ARE:

1. Grab your friends, mics, video cameras and instruments!

2. Record your own rendition of the song, no longer than three minutes. Videos must be appropriate for viewers of all ages.

The Syracuse Stage Happy Hour series has an official kick-off on Thursday, December 13 at 6 p.m. in the Sutton Pavilion (before the 7:30 p.m. performance of White Christmas). There is a different signature cocktail for each show that is only $3 during Happy Hour. The Signature drink for White Christmas is the Wintery Mix: Creme de Menthe, Baileys, Creme de Cocoa, garnished with a candy cane. There will also be a dessert tasting, including chocolates from The Speach Family Candy Shoppe and assorted pastries from Provisions Bakery.
