Incredible SIGHTSToday I woke up at 7:00 and then stayed in my tent until 8:30.

I missed out on breakfast because I was to lazy to get up.Then we had to pack up and go to Goat Island to do snorkelling for fish. When we got there we had to split into two groups one group had to go on the Glass Bottom Boat and then one group stayed at the shore and did snorkelling. My group and Tai’s got to snorkel first and then the other had to go on the Glass Bottom Boat. We started off by the rocks but it was very slippery so we had to move very cautiously and when we got in the water me and Tai started to look in the Sea weed for some fish. The first fish I saw was a Snapper but then there were lots of Rock Cod after that we moved out into deeper waters and saw massive Snapper,Kahawai,Trevally,Red moki,Parore,Spotty and a Leatherjacket. When we got out we had to go on the Glass Bottom Boat and we saw Snapper in waist deep water and we also saw a cave called the Shark Tooth Cave. The captain was called Scott and he gave us some real cool facts like Ice cream and Gummy Bears are made out of Sea weed and if you take fish or anything from the marine reserve you will be fined. When we got back from our little trip on the Glass Bottom Boat we then had to have lunch and then go up to the Goat Island Marine Reserve Auckland University but Me,Wiremu.Jacob and David were wet so we had to wait out side. I was allowed to go in because I was not so wet. When I got in I was a little bit late so I didn't know what they were talking about but when Ange finished her speech we were allowed to look around and it was really cool.

OMAHA MARAEOn Thursday after we went snorkelling we went to Omaha Marae for the night and at the front of the marae was the Tomokanga and on the left and right hand side of the Tomokanga were two skulls of Sperm Whales. On the roof of the Tomokanga was the spine of the Whale and at the end of the Tomokanga was the tail bone and on the sides were two rib bones. After that we were welcomed to the marae by the kaikaranga then we proceeded to the whare nui called Te Kiri and when we got into the whare a man called Matua Bruce had a korero. Matua Brian had his korero and then we sang a waiata. Next we had dinner. After we had dinner we had to clean out our bags for Tiritirimatangi and we also had to clean our shoes as well. When we finished that we went to bed at 8:30 because we had to get up at 6:00 to go to Tiritirimatangi.

SIGHT SEEINGTo day we got up at 6:00 packed up our stuff and went to the Whare Kai called Hine Hauturu to have breakfast. After that we packed our lunch and then went to the wharf to catch a boat called the Tiri Kat to go to Tiritirimatangi to see birds. When we arrived we put our bags in the trailer and then the truck drove them up the hill to the centre and then we walked up the hill a little bit. We split into groups and then a guide came and took 1 group each. My group went with a guide called Pene and we went on the Wattle track and we saw Kakariki, Kereru, Whitehead, Takahe, Kokako,Sattleback,Bellbird, Tui and much more. When we started our walk Pene stopped at a Puriri tree to show us the hatch of a Puriri moth.We also had to find these little sock puppets and these little pieces of paper and unjumble the words to make one real word. When we finished the walk we went to the centre at the top and the light house. Mum got me something from the gift as a souvenir.
