Solar Parabolic Trough

Parabolic trough shaped mirrors collect and reflect the solar energy onto receiver tubes positioned along the focal line of parabolic mirrors. Troughs are made to rotate on a north-south axis to track the sun from east to west.

Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector technology uses a reflector made of several long slices of flat mirrors. Mirrors are mounted on trackers and configured to geometrically form a parabola to reflect sunlight onto a receiver tube fixed in the geometric focal line above these mirrors.

Implementation of Solar thermal hybrid power plant of

15 MW thermal in NTPC Dadri and integration with

210 MW Unit 1 TG, in parallel to top HP heater, will be

the first of its kind not only in India but the first of its

kind in the integration methodology with any existing

thermal power plant in the world

This will resolve issues like metering and tariff and

pave way for replication of approx 1400 MW of Solar

Energy in the country. This will add power without any

CO2 emission and save precious fossil fuel
