Cygwin is an UNIX-like environment for windows.

Cygwin can be obtained from Alvarion FTP server at IPaddress: ftp://194.116.226.38/STAR-QualityUsername and password required

Cygwin can be downloaded from the internet , make sure

the Cygwin you download include all needed libreries(described in the StarQuality manual PDF)

Accessing the StarQuality server

To connect locally to the installed StarQuality server

run the Web server (Apache)

Open Cygwin shell Type: /usr/sbin/apachectl start

Make sure StarQuality service is running

From Web Browser window Navigate tohttp://127.0.0.1 Or http://localhost

From remote host browse to the server IP Address, for

example http://172.16.1.2

Communication between client and StarQuality server is

based on HTTP, make sure port 80 is not blocked byfirewalls

Command line for running the system

StarQuality can be started or stoped using command linecommands.

To run start the appach server and the StarQuality serverusing command line:

Open the Cygwin shell and type

/usr/sbin/apachectl start

/opt/starquality/bin/start_stop_pvsr start

To stop the apache server and the service :

/usr/sbin/apachectl stop/opt/starquality/bin/start_stop_pvsr stop
