    1.  Scope

    This Energinet.dk Documentation Standard provides requirements to contents and

    layout for Calculations and Reports, Engineering drawings and to Engineering lists for

    Electricity Transmission.

    This Documentation Standard is one of a set of Standards, comprising all requirements

    and guidelines for the preparation of documentation and related issues.

    The Standard does not replace the supplier’s responsibility for the documentation.

    2.1  Codes and StandardsTemplates for drawings must be obtained from Energinet.dk.

    3. 

    Definitions and Abbreviations

    3.1 

    Definitions

    Shall Indicates the requirements strictly to be followed in order to conform to

    this standard. Deviations from “shall” requirements shall be subject to

    waiver approval.

    Should Indicates that among several possibilities, one is recommended as

    particularly suitable, without mentioning or excluding others or that a

    certain course of action is preferred but not necessarily required.

    Other possibilities may be applied subject to agreement.

    May Verbal form used to indicate a course of action permissible within

    the limits of the standard.

    4.  Documentation Requirements

    4.1  GeneralThe Energinet.dk Documentation Standard contains the minimum requirements to

    the documentation delivered to Energinet.dk by any supplier. This Standard is meant

    as requirements as well as a guideline for preparation of documentation.

    If the design Contractor’s drawings and document software are different from below

    mentioned software, the documents shall be converted prior to delivery of the 'As-

    Built' documentation.

    When commencing design projects, it shall be ensured that the Design Contractor's

    software shall be convertible to the following drawings and documents formats:

      For drawings: AutoCAD and/or CADdy++

      For reports: Microsoft Word.

      For lists: Microsoft Excel  For electronic version: Adobe Acrobat (documents shall be delivered as both

    PDF and printed version.

    The conversion of the drawings and documents shall be sampled tested. The Design

    Contractor shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of Energinet.dk that the converted

    documents are in accordance with the stipulated requirements listed in said EDS.

    All standard templates shall be obtained from Energinet.dk.

    For delivery of documentation to Energinet.dk CD-ROM or adequate hard drive shall

    be used as data medium. Using another media shall be agreed with Energinet.dk.

    4.1.1  LanguageThe Danish or English language shall be used.

    4.1.2  UnitsAll units to be in S.I. units.

    4.2 

    Reports

    4.2.1  GeneralAll Calculations and Reports are to be updated to 'As-Built' and presented as outlined

    in this Documentation Standard. Each Calculation or Report is to be presented in a

    separate and appropriately marked binder.

    4.2.2  FormatMicrosoft Word shall be used.

    4.2.3  Document numbers & file names

    All documents shall be given a unique document number and file name. Thedocument number shall be the same as the file name.

    The file name shall not contain information regarding revisions.

    An overall document list in Excel format shall be prepared. Template for this must beissued by Energinet.dk.

    4.2.4  Revisions

    Revisions of engineering reports are to be designated as follows:

    - A, B, C, ... for design phase

    - 0 approved for construction (AFC)

    - 1, 2, 3, ... changes during construction phase and onwards

    4.3  AutoCAD DrawingsRequirements for structure for AutoCAD drawings can be found in appendix A and B.

    4.3.1  CAD systemsAll drawings shall be delivered in AutoCAD-format (.dwg), converted if required.

    CADdy++ can be used for electrical drawings, according to agreement with

    Energinet.dk. See section 4.5.

    4.3.2  Formats and Frames

    The following drawing formats shall be used in AutoCAD: A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0.

    All drawing shall be readable in A3 size irrespective of the original drawing size.

    The Energinet.dk drawing frames and title blocks shall be used and shall be obtained

    on request. The drawing frames are inserted in 0,0, and shall under no

    circumstances be exploded or scaled.

    The border and the tittle block shall be placed in layer 0. The title block and drawing

    border shall be placed in paper space. 

    Limits shall be set according to the measurements of the drawing border.

    The Energinet Template.dwg, which gives the Energinet.dk requirements to layers,

    line thickness, line types, colours etc., is shown in appendix B. The layer structure

    can also be obtained upon request (.ctb-file).

    4.3.3  ScalesThe following standard metric scales on the drawings shall be used: 1:1, 1:2, 1:5

    1:10, 1:20, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200, 1:500, 1:1000 and 1:2000.

    4.3.4  Font and text

    Standard AutoCAD fonts shall be used. All lettering shall be readable, when thedrawing is reduced to A3 size. 

    All text shall be placed in separate layers, ref. Energinet Template.dwg (ref.

    appendix B).

    4.3.5  Title blockThe drawing title block shall contain the following items:

      Project title (text 1 attribute). Will be issued by Energinet.dk

      Title block (text 2 & 3 attribute)

      Drawing number

    4.3.6  Numbering

    The drawing number is to be obtained from Energinet.dk.

    4.3.7  File namesAll drawings shall be given a drawing number (ref. 4.3.6). The drawing file name

    shall be the same as the drawing number.

    The file name shall not contain information regarding revisions.

    Every drawing file shall only include one view and one layout. 

    4.3.8  Revisions

    Revisions of engineering reports are to be designated as follows:

    - A, B, C, ... for design phase

    - 0 approved for construction (AFC)

    - 1, 2, 3, ... changes under construction phase and onwards

    4.3.9  Reference filesAll, if any, references shall be 'attached' to the drawing when the design phase iscompleted. All, if any, references shall be attached to the drawings when the As-Builtdocumentation is handed over to Energinet.dk.

    4.3.10  Clouds

    Changes made from one revision to another shall be indicated with clouds on thedrawing. Clouds from older revisions shall be removed when updating to a new

    revision.

    As-Built revision of the drawings shall not contain any clouds.

    4.4  Lists

    4.4.1  Document list

    An overall document list in Excel format shall be prepared. The list shall as a

    minimum contain the following information:

      Document number (as regards drawings, reference is made to section 4.3.6)

     

    Document title (attribute for text 1, 2, 3)

      Prepared by (technician responsible for the document)

      Revision (see section 4.3.8)

      Revision date

      File type (.dwg, .doc, .xls etc.)

      Cancelled and deleted documents

    All documents shall have an unambiguous number.

    4.4.2  Cable list

    A Cable list in Excel format shall be prepared.

    The cable numbering shall contain information about the switchboard that the cable

    is connected to, ie switch board no. followed by a sequence no.

    4.5  CADdy++ Drawings

    4.5.1  CAD-systemsCaddy++ V7, V6 and V5 can be used.

    4.5.2  Standards/GuidelineDanish standards must be followed. Reference is made to: 

    EN/DS 61082 Preparation of documents used in electrotechnology.EN/DS 60617-2 to 11 Graphical symbols for diagrams.

    Energinet.dk Kvikguide (only in Danish)

    4.5.3  GeneralThe drawing number, Project description 1, Project description 2 will be issued by

    Energinet.dk.

    It shall be possible to replace all the templates without losing the information on the

    drawing.

    4.5.4  Formats and templates

    Template 'Energinet.dk Standard felt.sep' shall be used.All pages shall be in A3 format.

    Energinet.dk's drawing template must not be separated or changed.

    4.5.5  File names/drawing numberThe filename shall be the same as the drawing number. It must not contain any

    information regarding revised editions.

    4.5.6  Title blockThe title block shall consist the following:

     

    Drawing number (= file name)  Project description 1 (Project station)   Project description 2 (Project switchboard)  Project established date (As-built date)  Supplier's name (Not necessary)  Supplier's reference (Not necessary)  Designed by (Designer)  Content of page (Page description 1)

    4.5.7  Components

    All the components in the switchboard shall be intelligent symbols. It means that thecomponent shall contain the supplier, type and name. The 'Type database' in

    caddy++ must be used.

    The text that is according with the components must be intelligent with the

    component.

    The components shall be to scale 1:1 and frontlayout shall be scale 1:10.

    The term of the component shall be agreed with Energinet.dk.

    4.5.8  Terminals

    Terminal junctions shall be defined correctly in accordance with

    the internal/external connection.

    4.5.9  Font and textStandard font Vektor 1 or Arial shall be used. In general, the text shall be placed so

    layout and text is readable. The text shall be 3.5mm, in order to be readable even if

    the drawing is minimized to A4.

    Text, which is logically contiguous, shall be placed as a coherent text and may not

    consist of several part text.

    4.5.10 

    CablesThe cables shall be applied as intelligent cables.

    The term of the cables shall be agreed with Energinet.dk.

    4.5.11  Revision

    Revision must be written on each circuit diagram page - date, initials and

    description. 

    As-built versions of the drawings may not contain revision.

    4.5.12  Clouds

    Changes from one version to the next shall be indicated by clouds on the drawing.Clouds from previous versions shall be removed when a new version is made.

    As-built versions of the drawings may not contain clouds.

    4.5.13  Graphic Lists

    All lists according to the switchboard shall be generated in the drawing.

    4.5.14  Date formatAll dates shall be written: YYYY-MM-DD.

    4.5.15  Delivery of Caddy-files

    The project shall be compressed before handing over to Energinet.dk.

    5.  Deliverables

    5.1  Hard CopyAll Engineering documentation shall be delivered to Energinet.dk in an updated 'As-

    Built' version.

    The Contractor shall deliver the following:

      Reports: 1 set of hard copies in A4 binders

      Drawings: 1 set of hard copies in A4 binders (drawings are to be

    printed out in original size and folded to fit A4 size)

      Lists: 1 set of hard copies in A4 binders

    5.2  Electronic DocumentationAll Engineering documents shall be submitted to Energinet.dk. CD unit or adequate

    hard drive shall be used as data medium. Using another media shall be agreed with

    Energinet.dk,

    In an 'As Built' version, the electronic version shall correspond to the hard copy

    version and the other way around.

    The Contractor shall deliver the following:

      Reports: 1 set in PDF format

    1 set in native format (Word) if required by Energinet.dk

      Drawings: 1 set in PDF format

    1 set in AutoCAD format (CADdy++ may be used for

    electrical drawings)

      Lists: 1 set in PDF format

    1 set in native format (Excel).

    The files shall not be in read-only format.

    Appendix A

    Structure of AutoCAD drawings and documents

    General drawingrules

    Drawings shall be drawn in millimetres in model space. Any

    deviations from scale 1:1 I model space, must be stated.

    Plot must be made from paper space in the relevant scale.

    Drawings shall be delivered two-dimensionally. All lines shall be

    placed in level 0 (z=0). .

    Objects shall be drawn with precise coordinates or using the

    appropriate SNAP value or object snap. Snap 2.5 must be

    followed at wiring diagrams.

    The insertion point for drawings shall in model space be 0.0.

    If drawings are made in the national grid system or other local

    grid systems, this shall be agreed in advance. Use UTM Euref89

    for offshore drawings.

    The orientation of the drawing shall be correct. This means, eg

    that a drawing with A4 vertical (portrait) orientation shall

    appear on the screen with the same orientation and not rotated.

    A line shall not consist of several part lines, and there shall be

    no remnants of old lines. Several identical objects shall not be

    placed on top of each other.

    If auxiliary lines and points are required, these shall be placed

    in the 'GUIDE' layer.

    Template Energinet Template.dwg shall be used as the basis for all CAD

    drawings.

    Layer structure The number of layers in layer structure appendix B. shall be

    used, but new layers may be created if the colour and line type

    are 'by layer' and follow Energinet Template.dwg (ref. appendix

    B).

    Objects andblocks

    Block/cell hierarchies may not occur, ie blocks and cells may notcontain other blocks/cells.

    Standard symbols The pen setup for the symbols shall comply with Energinet.dk’s

    layer structure.

    EN/DS 61082 Preparation of documents used in

    electro-technology.

    EN/DS 60617-2 to 11 Graphical symbols for diagrams.

    shall be followed for the symbols!

    Dimensioning The dimension style, which is active in Energinet Template.dwg,

    shall be used (se app. C). The dimensioning shall be in layers

    'DIM', in model space.

    Other dim styles may be created as long as they comply with

    the AutoCAD standard and Energinet.dk's pen setup.

    Dimensioning should always be created as dynamic

    dimensioning.

    Hatching Hatching shall be limited to what is absolutely necessary.

    Hatching shall always be placed in separate layers, compare.

    Layer structure Energinet Template.dwg.

    CAD files Drawing files shall be cleaned using 'PURGE' of unused layers,

    fonts, line types, blocks etc. Limits shall correspond to the

    drawing format; the drawing shall be completed with 'ZOOM

    ALL', and 'UCS' shall be in 'WORLD'. The drawing must always

    be saved in Paper space! Drawings are not allowed outside the

    designated drawing areas in Model space!

    Date formats All dates shall be written as YYYY-MM-DD.
