Warranty DetailsThe product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a periodof 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion. 1. Consultyourtrailermanualforbestlocationtoinstallthemountingplateforthe boatwinch.

2. Themountingplateneedstobefixedpriortouse,referto‘MountingTheWinch’on page 6forinstructions.

3. Theboatwinchwillrequirepowerwheninuse.Usetheincludedpowerleadsfromthe boatwinchtoconnecttoyourvehicle’sbatterywhenready.

4. Beforeoperatingthewinch,consultyourboatmanualfortheapprovedpullingpoint (snare)location.

5. Theboatwinchcanbeoperatedusingeitherthewiredremotecontrolorthewireless remotecontrol.Amanualhandcrankisincludedforrecoilingthecableifpreferred.

Pullingcapacityisreducedasinclineincreases.Forexample,rollingcapacityisreducedfrom11000lbs/4989kgonflatgroundtoapproximately2000lbs/900kgon45degreeincline.Refertothefollowingchartforestimatedpullingcapacity(rollingweight)onvariousinclines.

Mounting the Winch

1. Ensureyouhavelocatedthecorrectpositionforthemountingplateaccordingtoyour trailer manual.

2. TheincludedmountingplateisdesignedforusewithU-bolts(soldseparately).Select appropriatesizedU-boltsaccordingtoyourtrailerforapplicationbeforefixing. Alternativelythemountingplatecanbefixedtothemountinglocationbydrillingholes andusingappropriatebolts,washersandnuts(soldseparately).

3. Withtheplatesecurelymounted,alignthebaseoftheboatwinchwiththethreequick releasemountingboltsontheplate.Onceinsertedslideforwardandensurethewinch is secure.

Connecting the Winch

1. Plugtheinputofthepowerleadintothepowersocketlocatedonthesideofthe boatwinch.

2. Runthepowerleadfromthewinchtoyourvehiclebattery. NOTE: Ensure the lead is not tangled or at risk of being a tripping hazard.

3. Connectthepowercablestoyourbatterybysecurelyclippingtheblackleadtothe negativeterminalofthebattery,thentheredleadtothepositiveterminalofthe battery.

NOTE: Most car batteries will indicate + or red for positive terminal and – or black for negative terminal. If you are unsure, please contact your battery or car supplier.

4. Connectthewiredremotetotheremotecontrolsocketlocatedonthesideofthe boatwinch.

NOTE: If using the wireless remote, disregard step 4.

WARNING• Ensure the power lead is connected to the correct terminal of the vehicle battery.• Do not use the boat winch for extended periods as it may drain the vehicle battery.

Using the Winch

1. Ensureyourvehicleisinneutralandengageyourhandbrake.Useawheelwedgefor extrasupport.

NOTE: To maintain battery life, keep your motor running while winch is in use to recharge the battery.

2. Releasetheclutchonthewinchandpulloutthedesiredlengthofcable.Toreleasethe clutch,turntheclutchknobcounterclockwise.Youmayneedtoloosenthelockingnuts onthedriveshaftsothattheclutchknobcanfullyloosen.

NOTE: When rewinding cable leave at least three turns of cable on the reel to prevent pulling the cable out of the winch. Attach the snap hook to boat using a pulling point (eg, boat snare). WARNING: Do not wrap the cable around the object and hook onto the cable itself as this might cause damage to the object or fray the cable.

3. Re-tightentheclutchknobbyturningitclockwisetoengagetheelectricmotor.

4. Standatasafedistancebeforeoperatingtheboatwinch.Besuretoremoveanydebris (seaweedetc)fromthewinchcable.Whenitissafetooperate,pressINonthewiredor wirelessremotecontroltoretractthecable.

WARNING: Do not stand near the cable or in line with the cable behind the boat winch while operating it. If the cable snaps or breaks under load, it will whip back towards the boat winch and cause injury to anyone within the area.

Using the Pulley Block Thepulleyblockcanbeusedtoincreasethepullingcapacityoftheboatwinch.

1. Unscrewthenutonthepulleyblockandremovetheboltwhichsecuresthe pulleywheel.

2. Removethepulleywheelandinsertthewinchcableinthepulley.

3. Re-insertthepulleywheelandsecureitusingthenutandboltensuringthewinchcable isontheinsideofthewheel.

4. Oncethepulleyblockhasbeensetuponthecable,refertothediagrambelowfora typicaldoublelinesetup.Ensureyoufollowinstructionsforuseasoutlinedon pages6-9.

Amanualhandcrankisincludedforretractingthecablequicklywhenthereisnoload.

1. Toattachthecrankhandle,removethefirstlockingnutandslidethehandleontothe driveshaft.Screwthefirstnutbackontotheshafttoensurethehandleisfirmlyinplace.

2. Turntheclutchknobcounterclockwisetodisengagetheclutch.

3. Turnthehandleclockwisetounwindthecableorcounterclockwisetorewindthecable.

NOTE: In manual mode, the winch is unbraked. Keep hands on the hand crank when winch is loaded to prevent crank from free wheeling.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Wipecablecleanafteruse,particularlyifexposedtosand,dirtorsaltwater.• Lubricatethecableoccasionallywithlubricationoil.• Checkthewirecablebeforeuseforanysignsofdamage.Ifcablehasanysignsofwear, contact customer support on 1300 665 907.• Ensureallelectricalcablesareingoodworkingconditionbeforeuse.

The winch won’t turn on

- Ensurethatthepowerleadiscorrectlyconnectedtoyourvehiclebatteryterminals.- Ifusingthewiredremotecontrol,checkthatitisconnectedtothesocketatthe sideofthewinch.- Ifusingthewirelessremotecontrol,checkthebatteriesarechargedandworking.- Checkthebatteryconnectedtothewinchisfullycharged,andthevehicleis running.

Unable to turn the manual hand crank

– Loosentheclutchknobtodisengagethemotor.

How do I attach the mounting plate?

– Purchasesuitablemountinghardwareforyourtrailerandattachthemounting plate.TypicalmountinghardwareincludesU-bolts,washersandnuts.Use hardenedsteelboltsthatareatleast3/8”indiameterifyouchoosetomountwith nuts and bolts.
