"A construção pretende-se integrada na paisagem através da matéria. Assim propomos que na sua envolvente exterior seja revestida a reboco de areia e cal de forma silenciosa e simples, compondo soluções formais de grande simplicidade em memória de uma arquitectura popular e vernacular das ilhas e nomeadamente do Porto Santo. Integrando-se na filosofia/ambiente do hotel já existente, a nova proposta é desenvolvida como muro de protecção e limite do palmeiral, acentuando o carácter "oásis" da zona verde do hotel. O edifício novo está estruturado como uma sucessão de pátios e jardins, geradores de espaços intimistas e interiorizados, que privilegiam o carácter de serenidade, silêncio e beleza" from atelierbugio.com
