This Addendum shall be considered as part of the original Contract Documents for the above-mentioned Project as though it had been issued at the same time and incorporated integrally therewith. All changes to the work and/or additional work contained herein shall be governed by the requirements of the Contract Documents. Where provisions of the following supplementary data differ from those of the original Contract Documents, this Addendum shall govern and take precedence. ADDENDUM NO. 3: GENERAL CLARIFICATIONS: 1. ADDENDUM #3 Date: January 13, 2017 Project: Milton Elementary / Middle School Wing Addition Project No: 2015_16_00 TO: Plan Holders Project plans and manual dated December 2016. Specifically, the sign posts shall be in accordance with paragraph 1015.02(a)(2): Steel Pipe, and shall be galvanized after fabrication. All fittings and fasteners shall be in accordance with section 1015.02(c). Sign panels shall be in accordance with 1015.04(a) flat aluminum panels. 12” diameter x 30” deep concrete foundation. 8. Refer to Sheet D2.1: Reference to tree demolition shall refer and be governed by C1.00. 9. Refer to A2.2 - Drawing 21: Clarification “NO TRUCKS” sign shall be the International symbol

diagram of a truck in a circle with a slash through it and shall comply with the traffic and parking sign requirements for Sheet C2.02.

10. Refer to attached Sheet ADD3C1.09. Clarification: The purpose of this drawing is to detail the outfall and revetment used for erosion protection for the proposed A2000 30” drainage piping.

11. Refer to attached Sheet L1.3R1, Drawing 1: Future Sleeve Plan. Clarification: 3” diam. PVC sleeves shall be schedule 40.

12. Refer to Addendum 2, Item 11 refers to both D3.1 and A3.1. Items 12, 13, and 14 shall reference A3.1 for the repair work.

13. Refer to Sheet A2.4, Drawing 2: Clarification: The note denoting “SAWCUT EXISTING PAVING” refers to ¼” deep saw cut to end/die the stained concrete color.

14. Refer to Sheet A2.4, Drawing 2: Clarification: “STAINED CONCRETE TO MATCH CURVED WALK” applies only if Additive Alternate 1 is taken for the segmented walk/cover.

15. Refer to Sheet A3.1, Drawing 1: Clarification: Window between Room 1006 Middle Asst. Principal and Room 1007 Time-Out shall be Window Type “K”.

16. Refer to Sheet A3.1, Note that all new door openings being installed in existing masonry block walls shall have 5” x 5” x ¼” steel angle for the width of the opening and bearing 8’ into each side. Lintel to be placed on room side of wall and not hall or cafeteria side. Tooth in CMU around opening for flush appearance. Prime and paint with remainder of room.

17. Refer to Sheet A3.1, Door E105A shall reference details 4, 10 and 16 on A9.7 for required head, jamb and sill conditions.

18. Refer to Sheet A3.1, Doors 105C and 106C shall refer to details 10 and 16 on A9.7 for similar construction. Detail at head of door/transom frame shall require anchoring to existing wood blocking where window/louver is removed.

19. Refer to sheets A3.2 and A3.3, Reference Stair 1 and Stair 2, see revised partition types indicated on attached drawings ADD3.2 and ADD3.3.

20. Refer to Sheet A4.1, Drawing 7: Clarification: Do not horizontally cut tiles- four courses of 24” high tile plus a 6” resinous cove base totals 8’-6” high not 8’-0” as shown.

36. Delete the following previous Addendum 2 Item which reads: “Electrical Sheet E1.1 Keynote 4: In lieu of specified, any and all costs shall be included in bid. The work associated with relocating the overhead services to underground services shall be by the project contractor and fully coordinated with local utility companies. Any and all costs shall be paid by the contractor to any utility companies. The existing overhead line and associated utility poles to be removed. Two wooden poles and associated services to be removed in total. All existing services to be replaced underground. Refer to Keynote 2 for underground primary work. This work to occur during the summer of 2017.”

a. Replace with the following requirement: i. Electrical Sheet E1.1 Keynote 4: The direct utility company costs required from

Hunt Telecom, AT&T and/or Entergy for work associated with relocating the existing overhead line to underground facilities shall be by owner. The school board will pay directly to the utility companies costs associated with this particular scope of work. The contractor shall provide conduit systems as indicated in the construction documents and shall remove all wood poles once abandoned.

ii. The contractor shall pay any and all costs, metering, etc. associated with the new electrical services at the Gym and the new addition (if any).

iii. The work associated with removal of overhead services shall be complete the summer of 2017 with exception of the Hunt and AT&T work. See below addendum item.

37. In addition to requirements detailed on Electrical Site plan, contractor to provide and install 2-4” underground conduits from utility pole (with Keynote 3 Sheet E1.1 designation) to existing RmC114 at the Kitchen area. Contractor to provide Nema 3R enclosure (12” x 12” x 12”) at the exterior of Rm C114 at approx. 10’AFF to accept and extend conduits to above ceiling inside hall C110. Provide and install pullstrings. This work shall be completed as soon as possible and prior to underground foundation work or drill shafts of the new addition. Exact routing to be coordinated with engineer and utility companies in the field. These two conduits shall be used for AT&T services and Hunt Telecom services. The conduits shall be maintained and protected throughout construction. Contractor to notify project engineer and utility companies once conduit installation is complete. Contractor to cut and patch concrete as needed. The intent of this addendum item is for raceway system by contractor. Any new fiber and or cabling shall be by utility company (and paid directly to utility company by owner).

38. Under Alternate 1: Electrical Contractor to refer to D2.1 for requirements of canopy demo under alternate: Contractor to remove four existing canopy mounted fluorescent sealed strips. Contractor to extend existing circuitry about 30’ under area of canopy near parking lot to make circuit continuous. Contractor to remove 10 existing low voltage cables which are located on canopies. Contractor to provide in bid the time and materials needed to relocate 10 Cat6 weatherproof cables underground in 2”C from existing white building (referenced as “Existing Speech” Building) to existing main building. The approximate length of underground conduit is

39. Clarification: Sheet E7.1 Detail Riser 3 Electrical Riser Diagram- Kitchen Area- Panel ME should be noted as “ME17”

40. Clarification: Sheet E4.2 Mech Yard 2: Panel M17 should be noted as “MD17”. 41. Lighting Fixture Schedule: Type DE Lighting Fixture shall be same as Type D except with

remote 90 minute battery. Battery shall be located above the ceiling of adjacent classroom/corridor and location marked on record drawings.

42. Lighting Fixture Schedule: Type WF Lighting Fixtures shall be Eaton 922 10LED 40 31 12 SA30 or approved equal. Contractor to provide remote 12V transformer (circuit voltage is 277V) for each WF fixture. Transformer location to be verified in field with engineer.

43. Lighting Fixture Schedule: Type D4 fixture shall be dimmable. 44. Clarification for Lighting: Contractor to provide and install any and all low voltage control wiring

for specified dimmable LED lights. 45. Specification 271500 Clarification on cabling installer requirements: Contractor must have BICSI

certified member on staff or be prior approved equal to BICSI installer certification. Southern Technologies (Lafayette, LA) is approved as equal to this BICSI requirement.

46. Clarification: Sheet E6.4: Door Access Rough In Riser DA-2. a. Keynote 4 should read: one 14/4 cable and one 18/8 cable in ¾:C. b. Keynote 5 should read: one 18/2 cable in ½”C c. Keynote 6 should read: one 14/2 cable and one 18/4 cable in ¾”C d. Keynote 7 should read: one 18/12 cable (18/6 to JB7 for opening 1000A and 18/6 to JB7

Any material found to not be equivalent to that specified will be rejected.
