1. Introduction to Shellcoin2.0 seed

The envelope you receive contains a piece of seed paper (very important). An example of a seed is as shown below:

The envelope can be returned only if the seal is intact. Unseal the envelope from both sides:

Coins come along with the seed. The seed is like the password to a bank account, do keep it safe.

There are several options after receiving the envelope:1.Open the envelope and write the seed down. Keep several copies at

different locations in case of system malfunction, then the seed could be used for wallet recovery. Use the seed to load your wallet when transaction occurs.

2. Keep the envelope in a safe. Open it to load your wallet when transaction occurs.

3. There is a seed in the envelope, which is used to load your Shellcoin2.0 wallet (see to 3.10 Wallet creating and loading). For transferring coins to other wallets, refer to 3.6 Sending Shellcoin2.0 and 3.7 Receiving Shellcoin2.0.

2. Shellcoin2.0 wallet

Features of Shellcoin2.0 wallet:1. It allows user to create multiple wallets；

2. It allows user to add multiple addresses；3. It allows creating and loading wallet via a seed.

A seed is composed of 12 words, which is used to generate or recover a Shellcoin2.0 address. An example of a seed is as shown below:

Having the seed equals to having all the addresses of your wallet; losing your seed means losing the ownership of all your coins in the wallet. Do keep it safe and private.

While creating a new wallet, the system will generate randomly a new seed. The seed cannot be revised so that the uniqueness of the seed could be ensured by system algorithm.

The official language of Shellcoin2.0 wallet is English, with more language options coming up.

3. Shellcoin2.0 desktop wallet

Shellcoin2.0 desktop wallets run both on Mac OS and Windows. UI and applications of these 2 versions are indentical except download and installation.

3.1. Download, install and runDownload Shellcoin2.0 wallet athttp://www.shellpay2.com/#Shellcoin2

Choose a version according to your operating system.For Mas OS users The installation package is in dmg format. double click it, and the system will automatically unzip and generate Shellcoin2.0 Wallet App. Drag it to

System Applications file. Double click the icon to run the wallet.

Please note: To ensure that your latest Shellcoin2.0 wallet runs properly, click command+R to erase the previous version.For Windows users The installation package is in .exe format. Click “Install” after the download of the file is completed. Please remove “Stop” if antivirus alarms during installation. Click Shellcoin2.0.exe to run the wallet after installation completes.

Please note: To ensure that your latest Shellcoin2.0 wallet runs properly, click ctrl+F5 to erase the previous version

3.2 Using Shellcoin2.0 wallet for the first timeIf it is your first time using Shellcoin2.0 wallet, please read this section carefully. Shellcoin2.0 is not responsible for any loss caused by failing to follow the manual instructions.

3.2.1 Running Shellcoin2.0 wallet for the first timeThe following screen is shown when you run the wallet for the first time:

Create a new wallet or load one according to your situation.

3.2.2 Create Shellcoin2.0 wallet for the first timeClick “New”, and then in “Name” section input how you would like to name your wallet. Note: In this version and later ones, wallet is compatible for 12 word and 24 word seeds.12 word combination would be created by default, and 24 word combination could be created by manual switch. Switching between seed mode does not affect the wallet compatibility. Both 12 word seed and 24 word seed wallets can be restored in this version. Copy and paste the seed in “Confirm seed” section, then click “Create”.

A dialogue box will pop up after you click “Create”, Plese make sure you have backed up the seed.

Click “Continue” to set the password. Double confirm the password and then click “Finish” (Setting a password is not mandatory but highly recommended).

3.2.3 Loading Shellcoin2.0 wallet for the first timeClick “Load”, and then in the “name” section input how you would like to name your wallet. Input the seed of the wallet which you wish to load. Then click “Create”.

Click “Create” to set the password. Double confirm the password and then click “Finish”. (Setting a password is not mandatory but highly recommended).

3.3 Shellcoin2.0 UI

Shellcoin2.0 UI is composed of three parts as shown above. 1. Total Balance coin & hour, Settings, and More2. Wallets, Send, History3. Wallet information, Add Wallet & Load Wallet

Wallets“Wallets” is the main information interface. Users can create and load wallets, change names of the wallets, check each address or add a new address.

Functions of Wallets include： Name (cannot be repeated) Encryption (whether the wallet has a password) Coin hours Coin balance： Drop-down menu

Push button section: New address: Add a new address Hide Empty: hide address with 0 balance, meanwhile the button turns

into “Show Empty” Encrypt Wallet: encrypt the wallet with password Edit Wallet: Rename the wallet

Information sections: Address (with QR Code) Coin hours Coin balance (with coin hours shown in brackets) Details of address: copy address, view balance and coin hours

Add/Load Wallet: “Add Wallet”: this function is used to create a new wallet. “Load Wallet”: input the seed of the wallet that you want to load, enter a

name and the wallet is recovered.

SendThis function is for sending coins to a specific address (see to 3.6 Sending

Shellcoin2.0s).

HistoryThis function gives access to all transactions records via this wallet.

Click it to view transaction details in volume, time, ID, status and addresses involved.

Click “show more” to view transaction details in addresses of both parties, and coin infos.

3.4 Creating a new wallet

Click “Wallets” as shown below：

Then click “Add wallet” at the bottom. A dialogue box will pop up as shown:

In the ‘Name’ section input how you would like to name your wallet (A name of a wallet can not be repeated). Copy and paste the seed to “Confirm seed” and make sure you have write down your seed for backup. “Encrypt Wallet” is not mandatory but highly recommended. Then click “Create”.

3.5 Add Address, hide wallet With 0 Coin, lock/unlock wallet and rename walletFor adding new addresses to a specific wallet:

Click “New Address” at the bottom (Password is required if the wallet is encrypted).Click “Hide Empty” to hide wallet with zero balance, meanwhile click “Show empty” to show again wallet with zero balance.Click “Encrypt Wallet” to set a password. (Do remember your password)

Click “Decrypt Wallet” and input password to unlock the wallet.Click “Edit Wallet” to rename your wallet.

3.6 Sending Shellcoin2.0Go to “Send” as shown as below:

Switch between default sending mode and advanced sending mode by clicking “Simple” or “Advanced” button on top right.Default sending

Choose a wallet in the “Send form” section, and input the receiving address in the “Send to “(Use copy/ paste to avoid errors). Input amount of coins that you wish to transfer in the “Amount” section, which shall not exceed the total balance of the wallet. Click “previous” to double check the transaction, then click ‘Send’ to finalize the transaction (A password is required if the wallet is encrypted).For topping up an exchange account, enter the address provided by the exchange. Then input the amount you wish to transfer. Please refer to the exchange for detailed instructions.

As shown in the above picture, click “show more” to view details of the

transaction. Then click “send” to transfer the coins as in the picture below (password may be required if the wallet is encrypted).

Advanced sendingAdvanced sending mode allows transferring coin from one address to multiple addresses, as shown in the picture below:

Click “Wallet” to choose from which wallet you wish to transfer, then input “Addresses” to choose from which address you wish to send. In “Destinations” enter the address where the coins are to be sent and the amount of the transaction. Click the green plus sign on the right to add address and amount, and the minus sign to hide the extra address. Use copy/ paste to avoid typing errors. The amount of the coins to be sent should not exceed the total balance of the wallet. Change of a transaction is set to be returned to the address where it’s initiated; click “Custom change address”, then change of the transaction will be sent here. Click “Automatic coin hours allocation” to customize coin hours you wish to transfer during each transaction.

Click “preview” to double check details of the transaction, then click “send” to finalize the transfer (Password might be required if the wallet is encrypted.)

3.7 Receiving Shellcoin2.0Switch to Wallet interface; scroll the address list to choose one that you wish to receive coins. Leave the mouse over the chosen address, and a blue “copy” button will show up. Click it to copy the address:

The address copied can be pasted and sent in any text-sending method e.g., QQ, WeChat, and email etc. For withdrawal from an exchange, paste your address on exchange website. (Please follow the instructions of exchange, they might be different)

3.8 Balance checkGo to “Wallets”, the total balance of each wallet is shown on the right of the specific wallet. For balance check of each address, click the drop-down menu to show the address list, and the balance is shown on the right.

3.9 Backup wallet: Back up a wallet by keeping its Seed. Please print out or write down the seed and store it safe (for how to check the seed of your wallet, see to 3.13)

3.10 Load wallet

For how to load a wallet via your seed: Go to “Wallets”, Click “Load Wallet” as shown below:

Input the name of the wallet, then copy and paste the seed of the wallet that

you wish to load. Encrypt your wallet by setting up a password, which is not mandatory but highly recommended, then click “load”.

3.11 Search transaction recordsThrough block browser, Shellcoin2.0 wallet allows users to check all transaction records on the chain. For instruction of block brower refer to 3.12.

3.12 Shellcoin2.0 ExplorerAs an crypto currency, Shellcoin2.0 give users access to all the transaction records in the block, which are shown in addresses without revealing personal information of the owner.Click “Shellcoin2.0 Explorer” on upper right to find out more by inputting address, block height or transaction ID:

3.13 Searching for SeedClick “More” in upper right corner, then click “Backup Wallet”.

Choose a wallet that you wish to backup, and the “Show seed” option will appear (Note that this function is available to encrypted wallet only)

Click “Show Seed” and enter your password, “confirm” and you will be able to view the seed.

3.14 Sent, but not receivedClick ‘Setting’ in the top right corner, then click “Pending transactions”

All the sent but not received transactions are recorded. So do not worry about coin losing in this case.

3.15 FAQ

Q1：Cannot install Shellcoin2.0 wallet?A1：Shellcoin2.0 wallet is virus free. Please download a version in accordance with your operation system from Shellcoin2.0 official website http://www.shellpay2.com/index-en.html.

Please note that: Shellcoin2.0 wallet does not support windows XP or older version.

Q2: Can’t create or load a wallet?A2: Make sure to input the name of the wallet before you click “create”. Name of a wallet cannot be repeated.

Q3: Blank wallet page , cannot synch blocks, wallet loaded does not show coins, cannot find coins after update. A3: These errors could be caused by firewall, internet connection, or antivirus. For Windows users: Open “My computer”, search for .Shellcoin file in system disk, delete Data Base Files and all LOCK files (Attention: do not revise other files!), then reopen the wallet.

Q4: Can not send coins A4: This issue is usually caused by synch of blockchain or nodes under maintenance please see to Q3 for solutions and try again.
