It has been a treat to see the students’ enthusiasm in celebrating the week. Tomorrow, the festivities will conclude with St. Paul green and white day and/or St. Valentine’s red, white and pink day. The day will end with our annual pep assembly at 2:00 to celebrate and wish our boys and girls basketball team the best of luck as they head into tournament play beginning Friday night. It will be a fun and busy weekend as we host our annual St. Paul Tournament of Excellence. We welcome six other Catholic schools from throughout our state for the weekend to participate in games, free-throw and three- point contests, Mass, a special breakfast for all players and coaches, and a dance on Saturday night. It is a great weekend to build camaraderie amongst our Catholic schools and I’m delighted that we are able to host this event for the students. On multiple occasions, I have heard from parents and principals of participating schools letting me know how much of a highlight this weekend is for their students. Many thanks to everyone who is pitching in to help us with this year’s tournament, especially Tournament Director, Marty Hopkins. Included in this edition of the Voyager are the brackets with game times. St. Paul students are admitted for free. I encourage you to journey to Marist Catholic High School this weekend to come cheer on our teams and see first-hand the excitement of the tournament. PASTOR Fr.
