Painted surfaces shall have a minimum 95 gloss and an orange peel rating of 7 or more on the ACT Test Panels Technologies orange peel standard panels. Wet sanding and polishing is not acceptable for any repairs.]

The Proposer would like to clarify that our gloss level is 80 and orange peel is a maximum of 5, without sanding or polishing. The Proposer will also apply the same paint process, resulting in the same paint quality as provided in previous order. We request your approval.

So, depending on the load of the bus, one may not have enough current capability at Idle while the capability is fine when the bus is running. The proposed Variable Frequency-Drive (VFD) permits superior control of electrical loads and compressor speeds without requiring a two compressors and inter-laced condenser arrangement. The Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) is lower using a single compressor with VFD as compared to the specified system. A VFD also permits a refined capacity control by the end-user. This refinement is further assisted using valve control.

The proposed 24 VDC Power used for the Fans/Blowers would enhance safety when troubleshooting and reduce interval maintenance tasks. The specified High-Voltage Cables would present hazardous conditions along with the potential of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) causing deterioration of signals in the vicinity.

All High-Voltage Circuitry, inherent to the specified system, requires High-Voltage Interlock Loops (HVIL). This requirement would lead to a dual-compressor and High-Voltage Blower with an equivalent amount of HVIL which would decrease reliability of the system.

The Proposer would like to request approval to provide an Electric HVAC System which is a self-contained unit with a single scroll compressor internal to the housing as supplied Mobile Climate Control (MCC).

The System contains a single scroll compressor with single refrigerant circuit and utilizes a VFD to reduce capacity up to 50% during non-peak requirements. The System also uses 24VDC evaporator blowers and condenser fans instead of 3 phase high voltage electrical power supplied by the generator.

RESUBMITTED MANUFACTURER'S REQUEST – 5/15/2019:

The Proposer would like to clarify that the specified system presents a higher complexity at the component and system level. The proposed Variable Frequency-Drive (VFD) permits superior control of electrical loads and compressor speeds without requiring a two compressors and inter-laced condenser arrangement. The Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) is lower using a single compressor with VFD as compared to the specified system. A VFD also permits a refined capacity control by the end-user. This refinement is further assisted using valve control.

The proposed 24 VDC Power used for the Fans/Blowers would enhance safety when troubleshooting and reduce interval maintenance tasks. The specified High-Voltage Cables would present hazardous conditions along with the potential of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) causing deterioration of signals in the vicinity.

All High-Voltage Circuitry, inherent to the specified system, requires High-Voltage Interlock Loops (HVIL). This requirement would lead to a dual-compressor and High-Voltage Blower with an equivalent amount of HVIL which would decrease reliability of the system.

The Proposer would like to again request approval to provide an Electric HVAC System which is a self-contained unit with a single scroll compressor internal to the housing as supplied Mobile Climate Control (MCC).

The System contains a single scroll compressor with single refrigerant circuit and utilizes a VFD to reduce capacity up to 50% during non-peak requirements. The System also uses 24VDC evaporator blowers and condenser fans instead of 3 phase high voltage electrical power supplied by the generator.

In addition, MCC is offering an additional year warranty for parts/labor on their HVAC System at no cost to The Agency. We request your approval.
