Getting Started

2.1 What is SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office?

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office, is a Microsoft Office Add-In that allowsmultidimensional analysis of OLAP sources in Microsoft Excel, MS Excel workbook application design, and intuitive creation of BI presentations with MS PowerPoint. The Add-In is available for the followingMicrosoft Office versions:• Microsoft Office 2010 (Excel and PowerPoint)• Microsoft Office 2007 (Excel and PowerPoint)• Microsoft Office 2003 (Excel)

In the edition for Microsoft Office, you can use SAP BEx Queries, query views and SAP Netweaver BWInfoProvider as data sources. The data is displayed in the workbook in crosstabs. You can insert multiplecrosstabs in a workbook with data from different sources and systems. If the workbook will be used bydifferent users, it is also helpful to add info fields with information on the data source and filter status.

Using the design panel, you can analyze the data and change the view on the displayed data. You canadd and remove dimensions and measures to be displayed easily with drag and drop. To avoid singlerefreshes after each step, you can pause the refresh to build a crosstab. After ending the pause, allchanges are applied at once.

You can refine your analysis using conditional formatting, filter, prompting, calculations and displayhierarchies. You can also add charts to your analysis. If you want to keep a status of your navigation, you can save it as an analysis view. Other users can then reuse your analysis.

For more sophisticated workbook design, the edition for Microsoft Office contains a dedicated set offunctions in Microsoft Excel to access data and meta data of connected BW systems. There are alsoa number of API functions available that you can use with the Visual Basic Editor, to filter data and setvalues for BW variables.

You can also plan business data based on the current data in your data source. You can enter theplanning data manually and you can enter planning data automatically using planning functions andplanning sequences of SAP NetWeaver BW Integrated Planning.

Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office, must be installed on your local machine. You can connect directlyto a SAP NetWeaver BW system or you can connect via a business intelligence platform (SAPBusinessObjects Enterprise or SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform) to include datasources. Typically, you use the business intelligence platform of SAP BusinessObjects to store andshare workbooks in productive environments, but in test systems, you can also directly connect to aBW system.

2012-04-027

Getting Started

Page 8: 12 Aaoffice Admin Sp5 En

Using the business intelligence platform enables you to save workbooks and presentations with theirnavigation state in a central management system and to reuse these analysis views in other applicationssuch as SAP Crystal Reports or Analysis, OLAP edition.

To get a first impression of the look and feel of the Add-In, you can have a look at the Analysis eLearningtutorials. They are available in the SAP Community Network at Analysis, Official Product Tutorials.

2.2 Supported BI platforms

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis 1.2 and 1.1 supports SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and SAPBusinessObjects Business Intelligence XI 4.0 as platform. The following functions of Analysis are onlysupported with the 4.0 platform:• Working with analysis views• Using SAP HANA with a platform• Using single sign-on without SNC

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis 1.0 only supports SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1.

You can also use SAP BusinessObjects Analysis locally, without a platform.

Note:SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise is renamed to SAP BusinessObject Business Intelligence platform asof release 4.0. Therefore you will find both names in the Analysis documentation depending on therelease which the documentation refers to. Both platforms can be referred with the general term "thebusiness intelligence platform".

Usage with SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform XI 4.0 / SAP BusinessObjectsEnterprise XI 3.1In the Central Management Console (CMC), you have to define connections to your SAP NetWeaverBW system(s). SAP BusinessObjects Analysis receives information about the connections in the CMCand creates direct access to the defined BW systems for data exchange.

Microsoft Excel workbooks and Microsoft PowerPoint files, created with Analysis, are stored in therepository.

The supported file formats differ according to the platform version:• With SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1, you can store the file formats .xls and .ppt.• With SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0, you can store the file formats .xls,

.xlsx, .ppt and .pptx.

Local usageIn this case, you can reuse the BW systems defined in the saplogon.ini file in the Windows directoryon your local machine. SAP BusinessObjects Analysis receives the list of available BW systems in thesaplogon.ini file and creates direct access to the defined systems for data exchange.

5.3 To define a system connection to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence

The BoeConnection setting allows you to define a system connection to the business intelligenceplatform. It is maintained by an XML file which is stored in the file system under %APPDATA%\SAPAG\SAP BusinessObjects Advanced Analysis\Settings\BOESettings\BOESystems.xml.

Users can select the defined system connections from the Web Service URLs list in the "Logon toSAP BusinessObjects Enterprise" dialog box when opening or saving workbooks.1. Create the following folder in the file system: %APPDATA%\SAP AG\SAP BusinessObjects

Advanced Analysis\Settings\BOESettings.2. Create an XML file as follows:

Example of XML file with defined connections to three platform servers:

<? xml version="1.0" ?>- <BOESystems scope="user" type="complex"fullpath ="/Settings/BOESettings/BOESystems">- <![CDATA[<? xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><ArrayOfCoBoeSystemInfoxmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

3. Save this XML file as BOESystems.xml in the folder %APPDATA%\SAP AG\SAP BusinessObjectsAdvanced Analysis\Settings\BOESettings.

The "Logon to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise" dialog box contains the list with the three configuredWeb Service URLs that describe the connections to the business intelligence platform servers. Thefirst entry in the XML file is the default connection.

Users can define additional connections to business intelligence platform servers in the logon dialogbox. For more information, see the User Guide: SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for MicrosoftOffice at http://help.sap.com.

Note:After creating a new connection in the "Logon to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise" dialog box andlogging on to this business intelligence platform server, Analysis adds this connection to theBOESystems.xml file and sets it as the default connection. If there is already data from this businessintelligence platform server in the BOESystems.xml file, Analysis changes the diverging parametervalues in the BOESystems.xml file and sets this connection as the default.

5.4 Creating and managing BW system connections in SAP BusinessObjects BusinessIntelligence / SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise

The standard usage of Analysis needs SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence XI 4.0 or SAPBusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 as the central content management system for Analysis workbooksand presentations, and as platform for managing data source connections.

Before users can begin working with business data in Analysis, you have to create connections to BWsystems so they can add data sources to their Analysis workbooks.

2012-04-0224

Configuration

Page 25: 12 Aaoffice Admin Sp5 En

You create new connection objects and manage existing connection objects in the module OLAPConnections in the Central Management Console (CMC) of the business intelligence platform. Tocreate a connection to a BW system, you define a connection to any object of the BW system.

Note:When you create a new connection with the module OLAP Connections, you should not useauthentication type "Pre-defined" because the pre-defined user (and password) is not exposed to localclients such as Analysis.

For more information about creating and managing connections in SAP BusinessObjects BusinessIntelligence Platform XI 4.0, see “Connection settings for SAP BW data sources” in the SAPBusinessObjects Analysis, edition for OLAP Administrator Guide at http://help.sap.com.

For more information about creating and managing connections in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI3.1, see “Connection settings for SAP BW data sources” in the Voyager Administrator's Guide XI 3.1at http://help.sap.com.

You also have to make sure that the client PCs can communicate with the connected BW systems. Ifthe BW system uses a message server the client PCs must specify the service name of the messageserver in the system services file at <systemdrive>:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services. Configure the system services file of each client PC accordingly.

Once you have created BW system connections, these connections appear in the list of connectionsin the "Insert Data Source" dialog box in Analysis. Your users can add them to their Analysis workbooks.Users can access all BW objects (InfoProviders, queries and query views) of the connected BW systemthat they are authorized for by the BW authorization concept.

5.5 Defining BW system connections in SAP GUI

Local usage of Analysis requires installation of SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI) on each clientPC.

You can reuse the BW systems defined in SAP Logon on the client PCs. SAP BusinessObjects Analysisreceives the list of available BW systems in the SAP Logon and creates direct access to the definedsystems for data exchange. For more information about BW system connections in the SAP Logon file , see SAP Help Portal athttp://help.sap.com SAP NetWeaver > Getting Started - Using SAP Software > Getting Started> SAP GUI for Windows > Logging On to an SAP System > SAP Logon.

You also have to make sure that the client PCs can communicate with the connected BW systems. Ifthe BW system uses a message server, the client PCs must specify the service name of the messageserver in the system services file. Configure the system services file of each client PC accordingly.

Once you have defined the BW system connections, these connections appear in the list of connectionsin the "Insert Data Source" dialog box in Analysis. 5.6 Defining style sets for crosstabs

A style set is a selection of Microsoft Excel cell styles that is applied by Analysis to format the cells ofa crosstab. Whenever users insert a new crosstab in a workbook, the styles of the current default styleset are used to format the crosstab cells. You and your users can change the applied style set in theanalysis. With Analysis, the following style sets and their cell styles are installed:• SAP Tradeshow Plus• SAP Blue• SAP Black&White

By modifying the cell styles of these style sets, you can create own style sets and share them with yourusers.

SAP standard styles are availabe after the installation of the Add-In. You can modify them in the Stylesgroup on the Home tab of Microsoft Excel.

SAP custom styles are not availabe after the installation of the Add-In, but you can create them in theStyles group on the Home tab of Microsoft Excel.

For more information on creating and sharing styles, see the User Guide: Analysis, edition for MicrosoftOffice at http://help.sap.com.

5.7 Query runtime statistics

Analysis supports the query runtime statistics of SAP NetWeaver BW. You can activate the queryruntime statistics in the "User Settings" dialog box on the Support Settings tab or in the registry withthe Profiling setting.

Using the query runtime statistics, you can find out how much time the execution of certain user actionsrequire in Analysis and in the BW analytic engine. The system records the performance-critical partsof the processing (statistics events). It calculates the net times by calculating the runtime of an eventusing the difference between the start and end times (minus the times for other events called fromwithin the event).

Each Analysis workbook has its own connections to the BW system. When the user closes a workbook, the connection to the BW system is also closed. The first workbook - for which a connection to a BWsystem is opened - shares its connections with the open services of Analysis. This means that the"Insert Data Source" dialog box reuses the connection from the first workbook.

The first connection to a BW system in a workbook is the “master” connection. The query runtimestatistics for Analysis use the BW system of this master connection as the master system.

2012-04-0226

Configuration

Page 27: 12 Aaoffice Admin Sp5 En

With the query runtime statistics activated inAnalysis, all events raised by the BI consumer servicesclient code and by the ABAP server code are written to the statistics tables of the BW system. Analysisalso raises a small additional set of events, which facilitates analysis of the other events.

If the Analysis events should be written to the RSDDSTAT_OLAP view (transaction code SM16), whichcontains the data from the front end and calculation layer events, they need to be in tableRSDDSTATEVENTS as well. For more information, see SAP note 1462547.

The table below provides an overview of the Analysis events:

DescriptionLong TextEvent ID

Document ID of a .NET application (only one per session)Net Document ID20003

Describes what the user did in the step.Command20010

The user waits at a dialog or does actions that returnquickly.

User at dialog20200

Most user actions in Analysis will write an entry with event 20010. The time a user spends on a dialogduring execution of the command and not executing another command will be made visible with event20200. Each start of a statistic session will also contain events 20001, 20002 and 20003.

Users can check the statistics in the Statistics... entry in the Analysis help menu. The Statistics...entry is only visible if statistics are available.

For more information about the query runtime statistics, see SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.comSAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability > Information Integration by Key Capability> Business Intelligence > BI Platform > OLAP > Performance Optimization > BEx Monitor > BIQuery Runtime Statistics.

With single sign-on the user signs on once to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise with his/her credentials(when inserting a data source in Analysis), and is then able to connect to the BW systems withouthaving to enter the BW username and password.

Analysis automatically retrieves the SNC partner name from the BusinessObjects Enterprise SSOconfiguration and passes it to the client-side SNC installation. The client-side SNC ticket is then passedon to the BW system that the user connects to.

Usage with SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0Once users are logged on to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0, single sign-onto SAP system enables users to perform actions that require database access without having to providetheir logon credentials. Single sign-on works if the following conditions are true:

• BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 is configured correctly for single sign-on. Formore information, see “Setting up single sign-on to the SAP system” in the SAP BusinessObjectsBusiness Intelligence Platform Administratior'Guide at http://help.sap.com.

• In the Central Management Console under OLAP-connections, the parameter Authentications isset to SSO for the BW systems that should be used with single sign-on.

With single sign-on, the user signs on once to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence with his/hercredentials (when inserting a data source in Analysis), and is then able to connect to the BW systemswithout having to enter a BW username and password. The user do not need an own user account inthe BW system.

6.3 Authorizations

For security reasons, make sure that users do not have administrator rights on the client PCs. Otherwisethe users could access other users log files on the client PC for example.

For data access management Analysis uses the SAP NetWeaver BW authorization concept. For moreinformation, see SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com SAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver Library> SAP NetWeaver By Key Capability > Information Integration by Key Capability > BusinessIntelligence > Data Warehousing > Data Warehouse Management > Authorizations.

For content management of Analysis workbooks and PowerPoint files, you can use a file share andassign authorizations for the file share.

If you use the business intelligence platform, you use the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence/ SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise authorization concept to manage the folders containing Analysisworkbooks and PowerPoint files. For more information on configuring the authorizations for thesefolders, see “Setting Rights” in the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence / BusinessObjects EnterpriseAdministrator's Guide at http://help.sap.com.

6.4 Network and communication security

Your network infrastructure is extremely important in protecting your system. Your network needs tosupport the communication necessary for your business needs without allowing unauthorized access.

Local Usage of AnalysisIn this case, the client PC communicates directly with the BW server. The BW system provides dataaccess, authorizations for the data and OLAP functions for navigation in the data. The following stepsdescribe the communication sequence:1. There are two options:

• The user opens an existing Analysis workbook or PowerPoint file located on his/her PC or a fileshare.

• The user starts Analysis and inserts a data source from the BW system into a new workbook orPowerPoint file.

2. The user logs on to the BW system to get the data.

Note:If single sign-on is activated the user can access the BW system directly.

3. The user navigates in the data.4. The user saves the Analysis workbook or PowerPoint file on his/her PC or on a file share.

In steps 2 and 3, Analysis on the client PC requests data from the BW server. This communication iscarried out with a synchronous Remote Function Call (RFC) connection. You can protect this RFCconnection using Secure Network Communications (SNC). For more information, see SAP Help Portalat http://help.sap.com SAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver Library > Administrator's Guide > SAPNetWeaver Security Guide > Network and Communication Security > Transport Layer Security.

Note:If single sign-on is activated the user can access the BW system directly.

3. The user navigates in the data.4. The user saves the Analysis workbook or PowerPoint file on the business intelligence platform

server.

In steps 1 and 4, Analysis on the client PC communicates with the business intelligence platform serverfor requesting system information and saving the files. This communication is carried out with a Webservice connection using HTTP or HTTPS as protocols. To provide better security with the HTTPprotocol, the Web service connection should use HTTP POST operations, rather than HTTP GEToperations. Configure the Web service connection on the business intelligence platform serveraccordingly.

You can protect this Web service connection using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Analysis uses thestandard ports for HTTP and HTTPS, which are configured in your network. For more information aboutthe configuration of the Web service connection on the business intelligence platform server, see“Working withWeb Application Container Servers” and “Configuring HTTPS/SSL” in the BusinessObjectsBusiness Intelligence / BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator's Guide at http://help.sap.com.

6.5 Data Storage Security

Using the business intelligence platform with Analysis, data is stored on the SAP BusinessObjectsBusiness Intelligence / SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server. Access to the Analysis workbooks andPowerPoint files is protected by the authorization concept of the corresponding folders on the businessintelligence platform server. For more information on configuring the authorizations for these folders, see “Setting Rights” in the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence / BusinessObjects EnterpriseAdministrator's Guide at http://help.sap.com.

If you use Analysis locally, users store the Analysis workbooks and PowerPoint files with the BW dataon a file share or on the client PCs. You can protect the access to the data on the file share withauthorizations. To ensure that the locally stored data cannot be viewed by non-authorized users, weadvise against giving users administrator rights on the client PCs.

6.6 Security for additional applications

3rd party applicationsAnalysis uses the Essential Studio of SyncfusionWindows Forms as a UI control library. This applicationdoes not need any specific security measures.

SAP applicationsAs data sources, Analysis takes the data from SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse. For moreinformation on security aspects for SAP NetWeaver BW, see SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.comSAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver Library > Administrator's Guide > SAP NetWeaver SecurityGuide > Security Guides for SAP NetWeaver According to Usage Types > Security Guide forUsage Type BI.

If you use the business intelligence platform for Analysis, see “Security Concepts” in the BusinessObjectsBusiness Intelligence / BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator's Guide at http://help.sap.com.

6.7 Logging security relevant events

Security relevant information is stored in the log file if log severity is set to 16 (Debug Information). Youcan use the log file to help identify any potential unauthorized access to the system. The followingevents are logged for example:• successful and unsuccessful logon attempts• start time and end time of a session• missing authorization for BW data or objects• type of Web Service URL to BusinessObjects Business Intelligence / BusinessObjects Enterprise

Note:Access to person-related data is not logged in Analysis. You cannot track who accessed person-relateddata on the client. If required, we recommend using the relevant modelling tools in SAP NetWeaverBW instead.

6.8 General security recommendations

The following topics provide an overview of additional security-related information and recommendations.

Virus scanner activationAs users upload Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint files from Analysis into the businessintelligence platform document repository, we recommend the use of a virus scanning application toprotect your business intelligence platform server. You should only allow your users to store the filesin a specific folder in the business intelligence platform. Configure a virus scan for this folder, by usinga virus scanning application installed on the same server as the business intelligence platform.Whenevera file is added or modified in this folder, the virus scanner automatically scans the file.

If no virus scanning application is used, there is a risk that the server could get contaminated by a viruscontained in uploaded files. The virus can be spread by users when users downloading the infectedfiles.

If you use Analysis locally, we also recommend scanning the files on the file share or the local directoryon the client PC. In this case, the virus scanning application must be installed on the server where thefile share is located, or on each client PC.

Language Recognition and Processing

In SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office different text types are displayed in asingle user interface.

Analysis receives texts from the connected BW system, such as master data and metadata of theselected data source. These texts are language-dependent and are displayed in the logon languageof the BW system. If the user does not enter a logon language in the logon screen when inserting aBW data source, Analysis takes the default language from the user settings in the BW system. This isalso the case if you have configured single sign-on.

The language of the Analysis user interface itself ( ribbon texts and menu entries for example) isdetermined by the Microsoft Office display language. The available Microsoft Office languages areprocessed in an intuitive algorithm.

Note:If the Microsoft Office display language is not supported by Analysis, the user interface texts are displayedin English.

Example:

The followingMicrosoft Office language values are recognized by Analysis and processed asGerman(LANGUAGE_GERMAN):• 1031: // German - Germany• 3079: // German - Austria• 5127: // German - Liechtenstein• 4103: // German - Luxembourg• 2055: // German - Switzerland

Life-Cycle Management

Life-Cycle Management refers to the set of processes involved in managing information related to aproduct life cycle, from design to delivery. It establishes procedures for governing the entire productlife cycle, which includes phases such as development, production and testing.

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office 1.1 uses SAP BusinessObjects BusinessIntelligence platform XI 4.0 or SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 as BI platform and thus itsLife-Cycle Management modules. Analysis workbooks and presentations are stored in the repositoryof the business intelligence platform. You can store the file fomats .xls, .xlsx, .ppt and .pptx with the 4.0platform (.xls and .ppt with the 3.1 platform).

In the Central Management Console (CMC) of the business intelligence platform, you have to defineconnections to your SAPNetWeaver BW system(s). SAP BusinessObjects Analysis gets the informationof the connections in the CMC and creates direct access to the defined BW systems for dataexchange. The connection has the fields Name, ID and CUID. The Name can be maintained by theadministrator, the ID is issued by the system and the CUID is constant, even after the connection hasbeen transported.

You can use several business intelligence platform instances in your system landscape, for exampleone for testing and one for productive usage, and you can transport objects from one instance to another. The transport of Analysis objects is based on two entities: transport of the connection defined in CMCand transport of the workbooks and presentations.

After the transport of the connection, you can update it in the target business intelligence platforminstance by maintaining the connection information to the associated BW system, for example if youuse different BW systems for testing and productive usage. The constant CUID assures that theconnection is working properly after the transport.

The transported workbooks and presentations use the connection CUID to read the appropriateconnection information, and Analysis builds the connection to the target system or object.

Note:You have to make sure that the dependent objects on the Analysis workbooks and slides (InfoProviders, queries, query views) are available in the BW system which is connected to the target businessintelligence platform system.

For more information about transporting objects in the business intelligence platform, see the Lifecyclemanagement console for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0 User Guide athttp://help.sap.com.

Users can access these settings in the "User Settings" dialog box on the Support Settings tab. Tostart the "User Settings" dialog box, choose Analysis > Settings.

9.1 Support settings

You can record traces to analyze problems in Analysis workbooks. A trace is a self-contained quantityof logged user actions. On the Support Settings tab, you can make various settings for the trace leveland the location of the log file. The log file with the recorded traces helps to resolve problems that youreport to SAP as customer messages.

Folder for Log FileTo set the location of the log file in your file system, press Explore. The default log file location isC:\Documents and Settings\<User name>\LocalSettings\Temp\SapAdvancedAnalysis.log.

The log files for both Microsoft Excel files and Microsoft PowerPoint files of Analysis are stored in thisfolder. The names of the log files are:• SAPAdvancedAnalysisXLS.log for Microsoft Excel log files of Analysis• SAPAdvancedAnalysisPPT.log for Microsoft PowerPoint log files of Analysis

The system writes the trace information to the log file until the file reaches the maximum size of 2048KB. The log file can be PC-specific (per installation) or user-specific, depending on the folder path inthe file system (\MyDocuments\SAPAdvancedAnalysis for example). If the log file exceeds the

(“The workbook was saved.” for example) in the log file. This is the default option.• Warning : The system stores exceptions, error messages and warnings in the log file.• Error : The system stores exceptions and error messages in the log file.• Critical : The system stores exceptions in the log file.• Debugging Information : The system stores exceptions, error messages, warnings, information

Enable BW Server TracingTo activate the SAP NetWeaver BW trace tool environment, select the Enable BW Server Tracingcheck box.

The trace tool environment (transaction code RSTT in the connected BW system) has special tools tolog and playback traces and process automatic regression tests.

For more information about the trace tool environment, see SAP Help Portal at "http://help.sap.com"SAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability > Information Integration by Key Capability>Business Intelligence >BI Platform >OLAP > Performance Optimization >BExMonitor > TraceTool Environment.

Enable ProfilingTo activate the query runtime statistics of SAP NetWeaver BW, select the Enable Profiling check box.

Using the query runtime statistics, you can find out how much time the execution of certain user actionsrequire in Analysis and in the analytic engine of BW. The system records the performance-critical partsof the processing (statistics events). It calculates the net times by calculating the runtime of an eventusing the difference between the start and end times (minus the times for other events called fromwithin the event).

You can check the statistics in the Statistics... entry in the Analysis help menu. The Statistics... entryis only visible if statistics are available.

For more information about the query runtime statistics, see SAP Help Portal at "http://help.sap.com"SAP NetWeaver > SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability > Information Integration by Key Capability> Business Intelligence > BI Platform > OLAP > Performance Optimization > BEx Monitor > BIQuery Runtime Statistics.

Display Technical NamesTo switch on the technical names of the dimensions in your Analysis workbook, select the DisplayTechnical Names check box. The dimensions are displayed with technical name and text.

Enable NCO TracingThis setting may be used for SAP error handling.
