You also asked me for my continued finan- cial support. America’s heritage and your name sake are inextricably tied to the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Article 1, Section 8 specifically states. 1: The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; General Welfare Powers Common Defense Powers 2. Borrow money 10. Define and Punish Piracies and felonies 3.Regulate Commerce 11. Declare War 4.Establish rules of naturalization and laws of bankruptcies 12. Raise and support Armies 5. Coin Money 13. Provide and maintain a Navy 6. Punish Counterfeiting 14.Make Rules for Naval and Land Forces 7. Establish Post Offices and Postal Roads 15. Call forth the Militia to execute law, suppress insur- rections, and repel invasions 8. Promote science and useful are by pro- tecting exclusive right. 16. Organize, Arm and discipline the Militia 9. Constitute Tribunals inferior to the su- preme court 17. Control land for limited purposes 18. Make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing powers. As a Heritage mem ber I have read the articles you sent me and made c omments on your blog regarding the issues Heritage addresses. My comments always included reference to the Constitution. Over time I noticed my comments were seldom posted. I also realized my effort was useless. If educating other Heritage members on the Constitution is not desired by Heritage why bother with membership? Going back to the original intent I cannot find one scintilla of evidence that Obamacare, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, and Prescription Drugs, the EPA, Department of Education et al is part of the enumerated powers the
