Vision: What Do We See? (February 2, 2014)

Things I’d like to remember from today’s message…

“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.’

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit.” -1 Corinthians 2:9-10a (NLT)

What kind of a man is able to heal diseases with his old, used

handkerchief? The same sort who starts riots in some towns, hailed as a

god in another and flogged in others. This is Paul. Travel with us in Acts

as we follow in his amazing footsteps. What can we learn from his

boldness, his cunning, and his absolute reliance on the Spirit of Jesus?

Help wanted! We are in need of additional volunteer staff to work with our little ones during the Wednesday J.U.I.C.E. Night program. The program begins at 5:45pm with dinner and ends at 8:00pm. Seeking TEACHERS Is there a topic that is interesting to you? Would you like an opportunity to share what you’ve learned with our members? We are looking for teachers for the adult Sunday School classes who might enjoy teaching for short periods of time. We can use 1, 2, 3, or 4 week topics. Please see Peg Thilo if you have an interest in sharing. February Newsletters are available today. Please pick yours up

in your mailbox or get one from the display rack.

WINTER WEATHER ALERT! When winter weather arrives, check the radio stations of WDAC or

WJTL to learn if the church activities for that day or evening have

been cancelled or changed in any way. Both radio stations carry

changes over the airwaves and on their internet sites. Check with

the above stations whenever driving conditions are questionable

and may influence a change in schedule. Also, if our Sunday

morning worship services are affected by the weather,

information may be available on WGAL-TV or their website.
