Here is what one physician's office had to say about a competitive
product & company on the companies Facebook page:
"Cecilia Frances; I used to carry BioC in my office. I had to call the office to place a report that a patient
broke out in a rash because I no longer have a rep. Sientra didn't keep our rep when they bought the
Biocorneum. We didn't realize that there are chemicals in the sunscreen until we looked at the back of
the box. There is a high percentage of chemicals in this product, about 30%. I questioned the patient
about allergies and it turns out that she is allergic to the chemicals in the sunscreen. I called the office 3
times and no one ever called me back. I was even going to place another order because I was almost out
of product, but since their customer service was pathetic, I started to research other scar products and
spoke with other offices to see if they were experiencing the same with poor customer service and it
turns out they were. They gave me the name of their scar product line and their rep's contact
information and she is amazing and so are their products. The Silagen scar gel and Silagen silicone
sheeting is heads above the bioCorneum. Go to www.silagen.com .There are silicone strips and sheets,
breast shapes and tummy tuck belts. It's less expensive and it's not on the internet. Sientra claims that
the biocorneum has clinical studies and that is false information. There were never studies done with
Biocorneum, the studies were done with Kelocote which was 100% silicone. Ask your rep for Biocorneum
studies. They won't be able to provide you with studies because there aren't any. The Biocorneum is
diluted. It's a combination of 71% Kelocote and almost 30% in chemicals. One of the chemicals is
oxybenzone. The Silagen dries instantly and they have a gel that is 100% silicone and another gel that
has a mineral sunblock in it that is zinc oxide (no chemicals). It's 80% silicone and 20% zinc oxide. We love
Silagen and we love our rep. She understands the value of customer service."
