Which Level Are You?Beginner: Projects for first-timers using basic stitches, suchas cast on, knit, and cast off.

Easy: You know the basics about knit and purl stitches butyou feel that you need help with most of the other stuffbecause you’re still a fairly new knitter.

Easy Plus: You know how to cast on, knit, purl, can do asimple increase and a simple decrease, and bind off.

Intermediate: You can do all the beginner stuff, and knowthat there is more than just one way of making an increaseand decrease and are ready to try something new.

Class MaterialsThe cost of materials is not included in the class fee. Someclasses require the purchase of a book or the patternbecause Amazing Threads cannot copy patterns. It is notedwhen classes require the purchase of a book. Appropriateyarn must be purchased at Amazing Threads prior to thebeginning of each class. Receive 10% off yarn purchasedfor classes.

Refund PolicyAmazing Threads reserves the right to cancel a class oneweek prior to the start date of the class. Class fees will berefunded to the customer.

Cancellation by students must be made at least two weeksprior to the start date in order to receive a full refund.After that date fees are not refundable or transferable.

Knit-Along

Throughout the year we offer various types of Knit-Alongs (KAL) & Classes on Demand. KALs in the lastyear included shawls, mittens, dolls, and more. KALsprovide our customers an opportunity to knit in a groupsetting on a specific project, but KALs do not includeinstruction. We have several on tap for this spring/summer.

Classes On Demand (COD) are offered when teachingstaff find that perfect project that they want to sharewith our customers. KALs and CODs are updated inour weekly blasts and on our website.

Knit & Crochet Help Desk

Many people stop in for a quick fix on a project and wetry to get them back on track. Often we are just toobusy to help on-the-fly. Throughout the year, weprovide an expert to help with QUICK FIXES. TheHelp Desk is for simple fixes for customers knitting onyarn purchased from Amazing Threads. We want youto love your project. Let Mary Jane, Kate or Wandahelp you get on track and make your project soar. Wehave “Knit with the Expert” available by appointmentfor those needing more than a quick fix.

SKILL BUILDERS

Correcting Mistakes

Things happen while knittingthat we didn’t want or expect.Stitches fall off the needle anddrop down a few rows, stitchesget twisted, just to name a few.This class will focus on anumber of the most commonerrors that occur and teach you how to fix them to makeyour finished project beautiful. Supplies needed:Crochet hook, darning needle, a few feet of lighterweight yarn. Homework: Knit a 6” square in stockinettestitch and leave it on the needles with yarn attached.

Seaming

You’ve finished knitting the piecesof a beautiful project and it’s timeto stitch it together. Which seamingtechniques should you use? In thisworkshop, you’ll learn severalseaming techniques and when touse them. Supplies: darning needle,extra yarn, US H crochet hook,extra knitting needle in same size as you are using on yoursquares. Homework: Knit and bind off, eight-4” squaresas follows: 2 in garter stitch, 4 in stockinette stitch, 2 inwhatever pattern you like, but do NOT bind off these 2squares. Leave them on the needles with yarn attached.

Learn to Crochet

This 4 session class will teach you the 6 basic stitches onwhich every crochet stitch and pattern design are based.Crochet stitches start from a basic chain that is in turnstarted with a slip knot. Once you know how to make achain and work your way back along the chain you willknow how to crochet. It’s that simple, really! We will alsolearn the basic stitches of crochet: single, double, and triplecrochet, with which you can make virtually any crochetproject. You will also learn to read/understand stitchabbreviations and basic patterns! Students will create abeanie and fingerless mitts.
