Using needles size 5½ mm and beige yarn, cast on 30 sts. Work

back and forth 140-160 cm (55.1-63 in) (or desired length) in St

st, but beg and end each row with 3 sts in Garter st. Bind off

rather loosely.

Crochet a picot edge to both short edges (see hat).

Make 4 (or desired number) flowers. Sew on RS at each end.

Sew a pearl in the center of each flower.

rnd (beige): Insert hook to 1st picot, and fasten with 1 sl st,

*[ch5, 1 sl st to next picot] twice, ch10, 1 sl st to next picot*, rep

*-* 4 times. End with 1 sl st to 1st ch-st beg of rnd.

4th

rnd: *[1 dc (1st dc = ch3) to next sl st, 5 dc to next ch-space]

3 times, [2 dc, ch2, 2 dc] (= corner), 5 dc to same ch-space*, rep

*-* 4 times. End with 1 sl st to 3rd

ch-st beg of rnd.

5th

rnd (black): 1 dc (1st dc = ch3) to each st across the rnd, work

corners same as before. End with 1 sl st to 3rd

ch-st beg of rnd.

Break yarn.


BLANKET

Crochet 8 squares, and sew them tog 4 by 4 squares and 2 strips.

Beg RS, from one of the long sides, using crochet hook size 5½

mm and black yarn, work approx. 130 dc. Cont working back

and forth with stripes as foll: *1 row in black, 1 row in beige, 1

row in light grey, 1 row in white*,

rep *-* until the striped area measures approx. 20 cm (7.9 in).

Work same for approx. 55 cm (21.7 in) on the other long side

(ending with a black stripe).

Join tog with (= sew or crochet with sl sts) the other strip with

squares. Work approx. 20 cm (7.9 in) with stripes to the other

long side. Break yarn.

Edge

Beg mid one of the short edges. Using crochet hook size 5½ mm

and light grey yarn, work as foll: Ch1, *3 sc, picot*, rep *-*

around the blanket, corners: [2 sc, ch1, picot, ch1, 2 sc] to same

st. End with 1 sl st to ch-st beg of rnd.


CUSHION

Stripes: *6 rows in beige, 6 rows in light grey, 6 rows in white, 6

rows in black*, rep *-*.

Using crochet hook size 5½ mm and beige yarn, ch51.

*1st row: Turn, ch1 (= 1st sc), 1 sc to every st (= 50 sc). Rep 1

row: Ch1, 1 sc, [1 sc, 1 sc to 1 row below next st, 1 sc to 2

rows below next st, 1 sc to 3 rows below next st, 1 sc to 4 rows

st.

7th

row: Turn, ch1 (= 1st sc), 1 sc to each st.

Rep 7th

row 4 times more. Change clr after last row.

12th

row: Ch1, 1 sc to first st, [1 sc to 5 rows below next st, 1 sc

to 4 rows below next st, 1 sc to 3 rows below next st, 1 sc to 2

rows below next st, 1 sc to 1 row below next st, 1 sc] 8 times, 1

sc to last st*, rep *-* until work measures approx. 45 cm (17.7

in). Weave in all ends on WS. Sew or crochet short edges tog.

Stretch sides approx. 2 cm (0.8 in) over the cushion. Thread a

light grey length of yarn through the sides and pull tog, leaving

an opening with diameter approx. 10 cm (4 in). Fasten the yarn

well.

Using crochet hook size 5½ mm and light grey yarn, ch5. Join

into ring with 1 sl st.

1st rnd: Ch2 (= 1
