• Paul isn’t calling them to just accept their destiny. • He calls them to CHOOSE THEIR

DESTINY and uses the imperative.



• The word for “Farewell” is the Greek word χαιρετε for “rejoice”. • This was the common word for

greeting and saying goodbye.
