A few days ago, I asked myself if I had ever seen someone frown-ing about a wedding. I struggled

to recall any dour faces; after all, weddings are indeed celebra-tions. This year, September 1 fell on a Saturday and it was an unprecedented wedding season kick off, with a wedding in every hall that I know of around La-gos. Even marquees were fully booked—a sign that this will be an exciting season, one that will be accentuated by WED Celebrations 2013.

After months of planning and commitment by the WED Magazine staff, we present to you in this edition our first couples cover. Chris and Isio have a beautiful synergy that made for a candid photo shoot and a dynamic inter-view that we know you will enjoy reading. This issue also features stunning wed-ding gowns and introduces new sections like Celebri-ties Speak, WED Bloopers, and Big Day Makeover. We want your feedback as we progress toward becoming a more interactive publica-
