& DELI

Dear Editor The November edition of The Bengal’s Purr includes an article about the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers football team. In the story, there was a reference that implied that the team was somehow associated with Lewis-Clark State College, stating that in May of 2013, “LCSC football coaching sta started recruiting players for the Loggers.” There is no football coaching sta at LCSC because there is no football program at LCSC. While it is true that LCSC students are on the Loggers’ roster, it is also true that there is absolutely no a liation between the college and the team. This was made clear by LCSC President Tony Fernández, as well as Log-gers Team Director Bob Thorson, when the team was being organized. LCSC congratulates the Loggers on their accomplishments this year and wish-es them continued success. But it is important that Bengal’s Purr readers are made aware of the fact that Lewis-Clark State College has no football team, no football coaching sta , and no relationship with the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers. Sincerely,

Greg Meyer, Director of College Communications, LCSC

Dear Senior Editor After reading your Article "Death: A re ection on the Equalizer," I must say that I strongly agree with you. I myself have experienced a death and it does leave an empty silence in those that continue to live their lives. To those who have experi-enced the tragic loss of a loved one we all know that death is one of those things that has seven emotional levels to it and it a ects the living the most. I believe that Death is a natural part of a human life span, but it’s also such an unfortu-nate, unexpected thing when a person is where no near their life span time of death. I also think that death is very dark, dreary, and at times not a natural part of life. Therefore I have to say that I think death is mostly a natural part of life.

C o r r e c t i o n s

Nov. 25 issue corrections The Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers are not associated with Lewis-Clark State College. This was miscommunicated due to a Purr error. The article “Juggling Club Tosses Fun” was written by Jonika Ringling. It was mistak-enly attributed to Sabrina Rutherford. The column “De ne One’s Self with Passion for Life, Not Grades” was cut o at the end of the article due to a Purr design error.
