Baške Oštarije
The village, Baške Oštarije (927m), is nested in the heart of the Velebit Nature Park, and lies 20 km from Gospić, the continental approach, and 18 Km from KARLOBAG, the sea-side approach.
It is a unique place with three different types of climates blending together: mountain, continental and Mediterranean, resulting in the rich diversity of flora and fauna, colors, scents and geo-formations. About 2 km from Baške Oštarije you can enjoy beautiful sunsets along with a breathtaking view across the Kvarner Archipelago.
Since Baške Oštarije lies at a crossroads of Northern, Central and South Velebit Mountain tracks, Croatian and other hikers find it to be a very "practical", handy starting point for reaching different mountain peaks. The seminar will take place in a large and spacious tent (44.52707,15.176796).
As you can see, Baške Oštarije is a location that can satisfy different tastes and is an ideal place for a vacation. Twenty minutes after the training, you will be able to reach KARLOBAG, where you can enjoy the beautiful, crystal clear sea and have a swim in it. The island of Pag is a 30-minutes ride away in a motor boat; if you row, it can take a bit longer! :)
We believe that you will take with you some fond memories, along with the unique experience of practicing with Sensei in the heart of the Croatian mountain paradise.

In the attic there is a multistoried passage room in which 20 beds can be put. It is connected with two separate rooms, each with four beds. The toilets and showers are located on the ground floor. On the ground floor there is a restaurant and a bathroom with four shower cubicles, five toilets and five washbasins. Meals will be organized in the hostel “Baške Oštarije“. Price: breakfast (20-25 kn), lunch/dinner (30-35 kn) Specials will be served for seminar participants, and meals have to be paid when they are taken. We would appreciate it if you filled the meals table that you have received in the e-mail, so that we can inform the cooks about thedays and types of meal you prefer (all, vegetarian or vegan).
