1. Unsuitability of conventional research methodology in studying Islam & Muslim community
2. Inadequacy of tools of analysis of the conventional methodology in understanding social reality

The state of Islamic Research Methodology• Began since 50’s: Islamic Research Circle Bulletin in Aligarh, India• 60’s: Changed to Islamic Thought• 1991 –Research Methodology in Islamic Perspective Seminar, organized by Aligarh Muslim University, India (the only one)
