    About UsVJTI is selected under TEQIP I (subcomponent .2. ) for

    establishment of entre of Excellence ( oE) in " omplex & NonlinearDynamical Systems ( NDS)" with a funding of Rs 5 rores by WorldBank through National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU), MHRD,New Delhi. The main objective of the oE NDS is to act as a focalpoint for the interdisciplinary research into the theory of complex andnonlinear dynamical systems and its applications across science andengineering branches. Main areas and application domains includecomplex power grid/smart grid modeled as cyberphysical system( PS), nonlinear dynamics & transient stability of electrical pulsepower & plasma systems, hybrid energy management systems forclean renewable energy & nonlinear vibration analysis.

    The proposed oE is aimed at developing a rigorous andunified framework for both theoretical and applied research in the areaof complex and nonlinear dynamical systems by interconnecting

    scattered groups to create critical mass and complementarity.Following are the key objectives:i. To foster in both ways fundamental studies and applications bycollaborative research.ii. To develop a basis for a unified framework harnessing complex andnonlinear systems.iii. To motivate and integrate multi-disciplinary approaches to complexproblems.iv. To contribute in nation's growth - technologically & socially bysynthesising the obtained results and methodologies into unifiedstrategies, criteria and procedures for design of new devices andprocesses.

    v. Facilitate the interchange of scientific results and ideas betweenvarious institutes, industries and research organizations within andoutside India.vi. Promote use of open-source software in fundamental researchareas.
