About this book:
This book contains a collection of worksheets and activities intended for use with children in Preschool andKindergarten (Prep). They can be used with the whole class, in centers and small groups, as early finisherwork or as homework.
Directions for use:
Uppercase to lowercase match (6 pages)Children can use dot paints to match the letters, or they can colour in the correct picture.
Pictures that begin with...B, C, D, F, M, W (6 pages)Children are required to sound out the words and determine whether or not they begin with the sound infocus. Children then paste them either on the left side to show “yes”, or on the right side to show “no”.
Beginning Sound Dot It! (4 pages)Children can use dot paints to show the correct answer, or they can colour in the correct circle.
Cut and paste missing letters - uppercaseChildren cut and paste the letters from the bottom of the page in the correct space on the grid tocomplete the alphabet.
Cut and paste missing letters - lowercaseChildren cut and paste the letters from the bottom of the page in the correct space on the grid tocomplete the alphabet.
Pre-writing practice pageChildren trace the lines from one side of the page to the other.
Alphabet booklet - “ABCs on the Farm”
Assembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated.Older children can order the pages alphabetically themselves. This can be completed as a collaborativeclassroom booklet where each child works on one letter, or as a complete book for each individual.
Rhyming cut and pasteChildren cut and paste the pictures from the bottom of the page next to the correct picture to make arhyming match.
Farm Build-a-Word vocabulary bookletAssembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated.
Make sure NOT to cut off the section with the letter tiles! (Children need that section to build the wordon the page.) Children begin by tracing the word on the page, then building it with the letter tiles.

How many words in a sentence (with and without counting dots)Children count the words in each sentence. For children finding this difficult, I have also included a pagewith counting dots.
Cut and paste pictures next to correct sentence
Children read the basic sentence and demonstrate comprehension by pasting a picture next to the correctsentence.
Farm emergent reader - “Down on the Farm” (color and B&W) with comprehension sheetAssembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated.Children will have lots of fun colouring and reading this booklet! I have also included a coloured versionthat teachers can use and keep in the classroom library. There are 2 comprehension sheets: one withpictures to indicate which page children can find the answer, and another without the pictures.
Cut and paste word families (an/en ig/op)Children cut and paste the words from the right hand side next to the correct word family.
Sight word matches (and/see/can/the/me/help/at/go/big/little)Children match the sight words which are the same.
Counting on the Farm booklet (1-10)Assembly is required by cutting each page in half, then stapling together on the left side where indicated.Children begin each page by tracing the number, finding it among other numbers, and colouring thecorrect number of pictures.
How many are there Dot It! (2 pages): Children count how many pictures in each box and use dot paintsto show the correct answer.
Count and write how manyChildren count the number of items and write the number in the box.
Ten Frame cut and paste numbersChildren count the number of items in each ten frame, then cut and paste the numbers from the bottomof the page next to the correct ten frame.
Cut the groups and paste next to the correct numbersChildren cut and paste the group of items from the bottom of the page next to the correct number.
Missing Numbers (1-10 and 1-20)Children write in the missing numbers.

Cut and paste number order (2 pages)Children cut out the squares from the bottom of the page and arrange them in order (1 to 5 and 6 to10) to reveal the hidden picture.

Children identify which of 5 pictures is different.
Cut and paste patterns (AB, ABB, ABC) (3 pages)Children determine which type of pattern it is, then cut and paste the picture from the bottom in thecorrect spot to finish each pattern.
Which has moreChildren determine which of 2 groups has more
Picture addition (2 pages)
Children use the pictures to help them write the addition sentence.
Making 10 with Ten Frames (2 pages)Children complete an addition sentence using the information available on their ten frame to show howmany more are needed to make 10.
Colour by number (2 pages)Children colour the picture using the colours indicated by the number code.
How tall are they? (2 pages)Children measure the pictures on the page using the unifix cubes provided.
Sorting Animals and PlantsChildren cut and paste the pictures into the correct category.
Which is heavier?Children colour one of 2 pictures to show which object is heavier.
Positional words (under/on/in front/behind)
Children colour in the correct picture to show its position.
Cut and paste shape sortingChildren cut and paste the pictures from the bottom of the page in the correct section.
