THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER MAY 5, 2019
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" Simon Peter answered him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs." He then said to Simon Peter a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Simon Peter answered him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep." Jesus said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that Jesus had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep." - John 21:15-17

THIS IS MY HOME— RESERVED PARKING FOR OUR PARISH FAMILY OF THE MONTH
As a way to express our gratitude and say "thank you" to those who support our parish home, we randomly draw a new winner monthly for a prime parking spot! If you are one of the many who help support our parish financially, you will have a chance to win a reserved parking spot in the front row of the parking lot for a month. Every family that actively gives to our parish will automatically be entered into the drawing and one recipient will be drawn.
Our reserved parking space will be enjoyed by Brian and Dana Hall for the Month of May.
Thank you for your continued generosity to our parish home!

LIVING ROSARY THURSDAY MAY 9TH
Please join us in praying the Rosary on THURSDAY, MAY 9TH AT 7:30PM to end the tragedy of abortion in this country and the world. With the atrocities conducted at Planned Parenthood finally becoming exposed and reaching the ears of the public, our prayers are being answered! We need to continue praying that hearts will be converted, and that our country will no longer financially contribute to the evils that occur behind the Planned Parenthood doors.
This is a "Living Rosary" and is prayed with each person that participates praying either an "Our Father"(in English) or a "Hail Mary" in the language of their choice. Participants sit in the church pews forming a "Living Rosary". We light a candle as each "bead" is prayed. After the Rosary, we process with our lighted candles to the Meditation Garden to sing a closing Marian hymn. Light refreshments are served in Seton Hall immediately afterwards.
This is such a beautiful way to join together in prayer to our Lady asking for her powerful intercession. We do Living Rosaries in May and in October since they are months dedicated to our Blessed Mother.
We would like to see 100% participation with each of the 53 ‘Hail Marys’ and 6 ‘Our Fathers’ prayed by different individuals. That means 59 prayer-participants!
Please see the sign-up in the Narthex and join our efforts to make all people realize the sanctity of all human life...from natural conception to natural death.

OU R FORMED P I C K O F T H E WE E K Evangelical is Not Enough Worship of God in Liturgy and Sacrament AUTHOR: Thomas Howard READER: Bernard M. Collins In this deeply moving narrative, Thomas Howard describes his pilgrimage from Evangelicalism, which he loves and reveres as the religion of his youth, to liturgical Christianity. He soon afterward became a Roman Catholic. He describes Evangelicalism with
great sympathy and then examines more formal, liturgical worship with the freshness of someone discovering for the first time what his soul has always desired. This is a book of apologetics without polemics. Non-Catholics will gain an appreciation of the formal and liturgical side of Catholicism. Catholics will see with fresh eyes the beauty of their tradition. Worship, prayer, the Blessed Virgin, the Mass, and the liturgical year are taken one after the other, and what may have seemed routine and repetitive suddenly comes to life under the enchanting wand of Howard's beautiful prose. Howard unfolds for us just what occurs in the vision and imagination of a Christian who, nurtured in the earnestness of Protestant Evangelicalism, finds himself yearning for "whatever-it-is" that has been there in the Church for 2000 years. It traces Howard's soul-searching and shows why he believes the practices of the liturgical Church are an invaluable aid for any Christian's spiritual life. Reminiscent of the style and scope of Newman, Lewis, and Knox, this book is destined to be a classic. "The question, What is the Church? becomes, finally, intractable; and one finds oneself unable to offer any very telling reasons why the phrase 'one, holy, catholic, and apostolic', is to be understood in any other than the way in which it was understood for 1500 years." —Thomas Howard
