WIDE RANGING ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

Many factors cause costs on the construction site. Even if you do not have all of these costs in your own hands, there are some things you can do to actively infl uence the total cost of the construction site. The effi cient HDB-Z punching reinforcement ensures a particularly economical dimensioning of foundations. This saves for example time at excavation and construction. The more foundation height that can be reduced by using HDB-Z, the higher the potential for saving costs.

VERSATILE AND FLEXIBLE

The HDB-Z can be adapted to the foundation using different diameters of reinforcement, different element heights and concrete covers. Our HDB software, which has proved its worth over numerous years, is available for optimized dimensioning.

SIMPLE AND QUICK TO INSTALL

The simple ‒ between the reinforcement layers ‒ installation allowsquick installation of the HDB-Z. The design also ensures it remains firmlyupright in the formwork. This ensures fast, safe and easy installationboth on-site and in the precast plant.

For precast construction:Due to optimized dimensions of the foundations an additional reduction in transport costs can be achieved. That minimizes the total cost for the construction site and for the precast concrete plant.

Using the newly developed HALFEN HDB-Z, foundations and foundation slabs can now be reinforced even more efficiently to prevent punching shear failure. Due to its shape, which has been specially designed and adapted for typical load paths in foundations, and the multiple, low-slip anchorages, the HDB-Z achieves a significant increase in load-bearing capacity in comparison to conventional punching shear reinforcement. With the optimized use of material this innovative punching shear reinforcement is capable of up to 100 % more load capacity than a foundation without punching shear reinforcement.
