5. Carefully apply masking tape around the factory grille to help protect the painted bumper coverduring the factory grille removal.

6. Use a flat blade screwdriver to push down on thecenters of the factory grille retaining clips to releasethem and pull the grille forward as the clips releaseuntil the grille has completely seperated from thebumper cover.

7. Carefully unclip the factory Buick emblem from thegrille by pressing in on the clips retaining the black emblem base. Place the factory emblem in a clean,safe place until you are ready to install the chromeportion of the emblem onto the E&G mesh grille.

9. Apply several layers of masking tape around thelower grille opening. Align the lower grille intoplace, then reach up through the lower openings

and install the supplied large black plastic washersand #8-32 ESNA half nuts to secure the lowergrille. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the hardware oryou will indent the surround at the stud locations!

8. Trim the tips from the black cap plugs located onthe bottom and sides of the lower grille surroundand push the caps over the studs. Align the mesh

section onto the back of the surround .

10 . Carefully remove the masking tape from aroundthe lower grille opening by pulling it back overitself to minimize tape breakage. You can also lift

up on the surround if the tape gets caught behindthe grille.

12 . Reinstall the front license plate bracket.11 . For vehicles equipped with a front license platebracket: Apply 1-1/2 masking tape flush with thethe lower front edge of the tag bracket. Removethe exposed section of the tag bracket to clear themesh grille using a disc grinder or vibrating castcutter tool. Make sure the cut edge is smooth.

13 . Unclips the chrome section of the Buick emblemfrom the black base.

15 . Install the supplied .045 x .250 double facedtape to the back of the chrome plated emblemwith the tape seam at the bottom.

14 . Remove (break off) the mounting tabs from theback of the chrome plated emblem.

16 . Peel back a small section of the double faced tapebacking and carefully align the chrome emblemonto the supplied emblem mounting plate andonce properly aligned, begin pressing the emblemonto the plate while pulling off the tape backing.Work your way around the emblem until all thetape backing has been removed.

18 . Apply masking tape around the factory upper grilleopening and paint the mounting channel andeverything inside the grille opening that would bevisible through the mesh grille with flat or semi-gloss black paint. Once the paint is dry, removeonly the masking tape that could get caughtbehind the installed mesh grille.

17 . Install the emblem assembly onto the mesh grille,making sure that the emblem is perfectly centeredand level. Install the supplied large black plasticwashers, #10 S.S. lock washers and #8-32 S.S. hexnuts and tighten until the emblem is no longerable to shift around.

19 . Cut the supplied section of .015 x 1 double facedtape length wise and install one 1/2 wide sectiononto the center top of the factory grille to hoodweatherstrip (where shown).

21 . Align the E&G mesh grille , making sure all of thelower mounting tabs pass through the slots in thebumper cover.

20 . Prior to upper mesh grille installation, use a flatblade screwdriver or needle nosed pliers to bendup the centers of the lower mounting tabs thethickness of the metal (as shown).

22 . Push in on the bottom of the mesh grille surroundfirmly enough so that the lower mounting tabs clipinto the slots in the bumper cover. If the tabs donot clip in, remove the grille and bend the centersof the mounting tabs until they are high enoughto lock behind the bumper cover.

24 . Press the top of the grille firmly against the factory block out panel and fold the upper mounting tabsdown to secure the top edge of the grille.

23 . Make sure that the upper mounting tabs passthrough the slots in the upper portion of the fac-tory grille block-off panel (as shown).

25 . Peel of the backing from the double faced tapeapplied in Step 19 .

27 . Carefully remove the masking tape from aroundthe upper grille opening by pulling it back overitself to minimize tape breakage. You can also pushon the surround if the tape gets caught behind thegrille.

26 . Carefully align the center portion of the factory weatherstripping and press it firmly against theback surface of the mesh surround to set the tape.

28 . Reinstall the factory torx screws removed in Step 4 .Snug the screws but DO NOT COMPLETELYTIGHTENat this time.
