Project Information San Diego municipality wants to cut back
energy consumption.
They want to switch off lights that are not needed.
Solution: Individual light control Streetlights have a GPS and a
small mesh radio
(900MHz Zigbee) Status and control between street lights and
control system is taken
care of by the cellular Gateway. 250 CloudGate units are needed
for 100K streetlight nodes. San Diego pilot in place now. Los
Angeles will be a 2nd pilot but
waiting funding.

Bicycle rental Dutch Railways
Project information Bicycle rental service to solve mobility
problem of train commuters Solution : Smart Street cabinets for
automated bicycle rental With a chip card you can rent a bike at
250 train station.
Advanced registration is needed for billing purposes. Rental
locations are smart street hubs that take care of customer
identification and bicycle allocation. CloudGate checks the
subscription with database in Cloud CloudGate sends instructions to
electronic control
board if subscription is valid.

Project information Dynamic street signs to manage traffic
situations in construction areas.
Solution : Intelligent trailers with dynamic message signs Solar
energy powered trailers with LED screens provide traffic
information
at street construction sites. Smart application allows check of
batteries and dynamic upload of traffic
signs. CloudGate provides GPS location and
status information to server and receives updated content.
Content is transmitted to PC controller in LED screen.

Project information Use existing fiber optic infrastructure for
live television
broadcasting. Solution : Smart street cabinets with FO acces
points Fiber Optic access points are installed in street cabinets.
The street cabinets contain automated access equipment
based on RFID. A 3G GateWay links the local access equipment to
a
central control system and controls the electronic lock. Cabinet
status is monitored in a central control room
