A female patient of 83yrs was
admitted on 28/07/2014 with c/o
chest pain-2days, radiating to neck,
back and arm.
PMH: known case of Diabetes
mellitus and Hypertension since 2
yrs.
VITALS:
PR: 66/min
B.P: 180/90 mm of Hg
CVS : s1 s2 + +
RS: Clear
ABD: Soft

Current medication:
Tab.nitro glycerine stat
Inj.pantoprazole 40mg OD

Tab.glyciphage 500mg BD
Tab.ecospirin 75mg OD
Tab.clopidogrel 75mg OD
Tab.atorvastatin 40mg HS
Inj.furosemide 20mg SOS
Tab.cefadroxil 75mg BD
Inj.actrapid SOS
CAD is due to sub intimal deposition of atheromas in small and medium-sized coronary arteries
1. the current
therapy for the
problem to reduce
fat accumulation in
blood vessels and
decrease the blood
volume to reduce the
work load of the
heart
Need for Therapy:
therapy is required.
To reduce the chest
pain due to occlusion
of atheroma in
coronary artery
Continue current
therapy to prevent
further TIA and CVA.
1.Prevent the
platelet
aggregation.
And reduce
atheroma
formation and
there by reduce
the chest pain.

2. blood pressure should moniter while
administering nitro glycerine,
3.ECG and ECHO Cardiogram is
recommended.

medication adherence.
Strengthening the leg and
hand muscles and balance
through regular walking and
exercises.
2. maintain normal B.M.I
3. controlled conditions of
hypertension and diabetes.
