ally to a location on the eastcoast, sometimes outside theU.S.). The checks are fake,the seller is actually only get-ting a piece of paper, not a realcheck. Scammer asks the sell-er to pay to ship the item, usingthe extra money included in thefake check. If the seller falls forthis scam, the scammer will getthe advertised item free, andthe seller will end up paying toship the item to the scammer(since the check was fake). Sothe seller will lose the adver-tised item and the money toship it to the scammer. Don’tfall for this scam!!
