Reports are being finalised now and you should receive notice from your child’s teacher soon for your IEP meetings. Thank you to those parents who have paid your voluntary contributions. To those who haven’t, please head into the office and see either Mrs Barrodeen or Mrs Lucken with your $30. This money is used exclusively towards our individualised programs that support your child. We are currently taking enrolments for our Early Intervention (Kindy & Pre-Primary) Program for 2016. Our program caters for children with a diagnosis of Global Development Disorder and/or Autism. Students from two of our Junior classrooms were invited to attend the WADSA Bowling Excursion. The students were able to participate in teams and compete against our peer Education Support Centres. It was an excellent day, thoroughly enjoyed by all! Mrs Howorth—ESC Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As I hope you have noticed, our website is having more and more pictures and work samples

posted each week. After you have finished reading this newsletter, please spend a few minutes

browsing through the different classes and see what’s happening here at Leda.

Students are bringing their good work regularly to the office. They get stickers and certificates

depending on how many times they have been, they also get a raffle ticket. If their raffle ticket is

drawn out at assembly they will be invited to go to Chipmunks as a reward. The Chipmunks

excursion will be in the final week of this term. The Chipmunks bus is not full yet so there is still

a chance that your child will be invited to go on the reward excursion.

On Friday of last week we had a P & C crazy hair day fundraiser. Thank you to all the parents

and carers who put so much effort into creating some quite amazing hair styles. Balloons,

feathers, pipe cleaners - I saw them all as hair accessories last Friday!

On Monday of this week we ran our school Faction Cross Country. It was a marvellous day and

the students ran brilliantly. The interschool sport season is drawing to a close. I would like to

take the opportunity to thank the students for their teamwork and the enthusiasm they have

displayed whilst representing our school.

Enjoy the rest of your week Mrs Jones-Rowbottom - Principal

Hi everyone,

Well I can’t believe we are

almost at the end of another term.

We are currently taking enrolments for our Early Intervention

(Kindy & Pre-Primary) Program for 2016.

Room 7's assembly was based on the life of a Year 6 student at Leda Primary School. The skit was written by Jack Edwards and portrayed things they have been learning about as well as their experiences as a Year 6 student so far this year. Not only were the dances and movements created by the students from Room 7 but the ideas and music where chosen and created by them also. Well done to Room 7 for their very creative efforts under the direction of Miss Rio.

aTlarge Music (within partnership) are organizing a community

project to offer all families across Perth access to an array of

music participation opportunities in 2015. The program focuses on

5-17 year old's via music projects and is also catered to those

who may not currently have an education in music. Its aim is to

provide confidence to those who may not believe they can initiate

themselves in a music education without years of training and

such the project is to offer many possibilities (regardless of background) to enjoy music via

challenges, concerts and interaction with many other kids.
