Surface Water Drainage

Storm Water Management Policy - GDSDS– Design & construct & maintain– Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems – SUDS– Attenuation – On site storage systems – 1 :100 year storm event – Post development flows not to exceed green field runoff

Design– Min pipe size 225 mm– Return Period - 5 yr - allow 20% for Climate Change– Surcharge analysis

Discharge – Public system – existing capacity - outfall – Arterial Drainage Act 1945 ( S. 50 ) – culvert sizes– On site - BRE Digest 365 - soakpits
