Industrial sector serves as the backbone of a country as far as its GDP growth and corresponding economic stability is concerned. However, the compeve edge of an industry, in the internaonal market, always remains under threat in the absence of an acve R & D infrastructure of its own or in collaboraon with other relevant partners. Academia, on the other hand, serves as the hub of knowledge, great ideas, and potenal innovaons. It also trains the human resource required by the diﬀerent sectors of a country especially the industrial sector. Despite having the potenal of coming up with innovave ideas the path for academia to convert those ideas into marketable products is generally long and uncertain due to its limited manufacturing/processing capabilies. The Academia – Industry collaboraon is, therefore, an essenal requirement for the industry to tap in the relevant experse and for the researchers in academia to execute their research plans in the relevant industrial environment. The University of Wah has planned to organize a conference in December 2021 with the aim of bringing the industrial and academic experts on a single plaorm to share their experiences and discuss about the possibilies of future collaboraons.
