ACNABIN Scholarship Trust Fund Notice inviting applications for scholarship

Applications are invited from the eligible students (described in the policy statement) for the proposed in-house scholarship in the prescribed form available with the Admn. section of our firm. Applications must be completed in all respects and be submitted to the undersigned on or before 10 October 2016.

Upon receipt of the applications, the trust will take necessary action as per policy underlying 'ACNABIN Scholarship Trust Fund'. It is to be noted that the right of acceptance/rejection of any application is fully reserved by the Board of Trustees.

ACNABIN SCHOLARSHIP TRUST FUND

Policy Statement To All Concerned,

We have the pleasure to inform all past and present partners, students and staff of ACNABIN, Chartered Accountants (Firm), that the firm has decided to offer in-house scholarships for the articled students (Graduate and Post Graduate students) of ACNABIN. Each year there w/ill be three scholarships given to three students representing each of the years under artideship period, namely first year, second year and third year. The scholarship v̂ ill be awarded to the meritorious students selected through a systematic procedure. The monthly rates will be- first year Tk. 2,000, second year Tk. 2,500 and third year Tk. 3,000. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. The student applying for the scholarship must be an articled student of ACNABIN duly registered with ICAB. A student transferred in from other firms to ACNABIN meeting all criteria may also apply.

2. For the first year, merit shall be assessed on the performance in their previous academic results, a written test and viva voce to be conducted by the firm. When two candidates will score same performance, the selection committee, in consultation with the Chairman of the Trustee, would make an assessment of financial need between such two candidates.

To be an eligible applicant for the said scholarship one must have minimum academic achievements as follows:

3. For the second year, the scholarship will be awarded to one who has passed the knowledge level examination at the first eligible session. If several students scored the same, previous academic results will be considered for selection of the awardee. In case

no such any successful candidate is available, the scholarship will be awarded to one who has passed the knowledge level examination in two consecutive eligible chances. If several students scored the same, previous academic results will be considered for selection of the awardee.

4. For the third year, the scholarship will be awarded to one who has passed the Application level examination at the first eligible session. If several students scored the same, previous academic results will be considered for selection of the awardee. In case no such successful candidate is available, the scholarship will be awarded to one who has passed the application level examination in two consecutive eligible chances. If several students scored the same, previous academic results will be considered for selection of the awardee.

5. In the case of any full dropout by any candidate from any eligible/due examination session it will be considered that he/she has appeared and become unsuccessful in that examination session.

6. The application will be invited once in a calendar year but the scholarship money will be disbursed on six monthly basis in March and September of the year. Application for the scholarship is to be submitted in prescribed form to be collected from DGM (Admn.) along with all the required documents.

7. In selection of scholars, the decision of the Board of Trustees will be final, conclusive and binding upon all.

8. The above policy on the 'ACNABIN Scholarship Trust Fund' may be amended by the Board of Trustees from time to time.
