Task Group Overview

• Develop a modern searchable relational database to catalog 10 CFR and the current suite of NRC regulatory documents for citations of consensus standards.

• The database is intended to be used by the nuclear industry and NRC to assess currently cited standards to support certification of designs and development of licensing documents.

• The database is intended to be used by Standard Development Organizations (SDOs) to identify where and which version of their standards are cited in regulatory documents.

• Possible future expansion of the database for use in cataloging nuclear related standards currently under development by SDOs, plant-specific documents, such as COLAs and DCDs, and other licensing and design documents.

Current Status

• Data mining of Regulatory Guides through summer 2012

• Revised Inter-agency Agreement and sent additional funds to NIST in October 2012
