A decrease of 5.31% on the volume of

production of fish in Albay was posted in 2018

after it dropped from 22,812.74 metric tons in

2017 to 21,601.99 metric tons. Commercial Fishery

sub-sector primarily contributed to the variation

after the volume of production went down to

8.10%, from 9,881.67 metric tons in 2017 to

    9,081.51 metric tons in 2018.

sub-sectors went down in 2018. Municipal Fishery

sub-sector dropped at 3.56%. The volume of

production declined from 10,720.77 metric tons to

10,338.99 metric tons. This was from the

combined volume of production of Marine

Municipal Fishery and Inland Municipal Fishery. In

comparison to 2017, the former dropped to 4.52%,

from 9,182.72 |metric tons to 8,767.33 metric tons

The increase on the volume of

by the increase on the volume of

production of Irrigated Palay. The volume of pro-

duction of Irrigated Palay rose to 1.40%, thus

increasing to 177,658.66 metric tons from

On the other hand, the decrease of the

volume of production of Corn is attributed to the

downturn of the volume of production of Yellow

Corn and White Corn in 2018. Yellow Corn recorded

a decrease on the volume of production of 7.99%.

It declined to 47,318.00 metric tons from
