Teaching and Learning practices in the Department of ECEThe key role of a teacher is to teach the concepts,
which can be understood as meaning to facilitate
learning of some target curriculum. Teaching is
therefore intimately tied to notions of learning and
there is a sense that if students do not learn then
whatever the teacher is doing does not deserve the
label of ‘teaching’. The use of innovative methods
in educational institutions has the potential not
only to improve education, but also to empower people, strengthen governance
and galvanize the effort to achieve the human development goals for the
country.
Class Room EnvironmentCollaborative learning :
In order to optimize on their own and each
other’s learning (Johnson & Johnson, 1999).
To achieve this purpose, teachers have tried
to organize different types of collaborative
activities in their classroom teaching.CL can
promote academic and social educational
outcomes. Teachers also encounter
challenges while organizing collaborative activities, such as designing
appropriate group tasks, composing groups, managing class time and
enhancing and monitoring productive collaboration.

GRADUATION DAY
PARENTS TEACHER MEETSREC Conducted PTM on 19th August 2018,
Venue: ECE Department seminar Hall. Parent
teacher meeting covers the distance among
three stakeholders. PTM opens a
communication channel. Everyone is highly
busy in his own task, profession and business.
Teacher teachers a big numbers of students in
different classes. Teacher is completing several tasks other than classroom
teaching for maintaining piousness of an educational
institution. Student is busy with reading, writing,
completing class work and homework. Parent is busy
with his profession for earning bread and butter for
family.
Parent is a partner. Active participation of a parent brings
massive change in kid’s academic performance. His nature of nurturing brings
natural and holistic changes in kid’s personality. It is necessary to share
responsibility and accountability with parent for the holistic development of a child.
Parent is directly responsible for student progress at home and in the school. In fact,
it is necessary to develop a strong bridge between parent and educator. Wise parents
never leave space for developing negative outcomes. Each and every moment and
movement of student determines her/his future.
Parent teacher meeting is an opportunity to exchange observation of a child with each
other. Sharing daily experience and observation provide a wider prospect for parent
and teacher to plan, prepare and execute planning for better learning outcome of a
child. We discuss and share overall personality of a child with the teacher i.e. his/her

Engineering Project in Community Services (EPICS)We are glad to share experience for
working in EPICS. This course is the
great platform for Engineering students
in order to enhance their creativity and
imagination by designing, developing
and delivering the product for selected
community. This will also helps the
students to improve their skills of interaction with different people in different
communities. EPICS course helped me to know about the problems in the
society and how we deal with the people and their problems in the society. By
undergoing few surveys and by taking the inputs from them we have developed
a product called "UREA DETECTION IN MILK" which will help us to detect the
purity of milk.
One great thing our team did was COLLABORATORY FOR SOCIAL
INNOVATION(EPICS) Course. We explored lot of things through this project by
communicating with several people in the society and knowing their problems.
As Engineering Students I wish everybody to use their technical skills for
solving problems in society with very low costs and prove that we are real
Engineers.

skills with proper time management and
resource utilization.
How many times have you had an idea,
but not a clue what to do with it? How
many of those ideas might have been the
key that the world needed? No one is
born without a dream. But everyone isn’t
fortunate enough to complete their
dreams, due to myriad reasons. Being a
part of a country with extraordinarily talented minds, it’s only of some use if
they are directed in the right path. You live in a world where opportunities are
rarely offered. “Don’t wait for an opportunity Grab it or create your own” If you
have a dream then you should do everything to carve it into reality. Make in
SREC is here with one such opportunity for all young inspiring and upcoming
minds which will be the future of the world “Make 'n' Market”.
