P25 CAP Programmatic Next Steps

• Testing Procedures:

OIC, with assistance from APCO, will coordinate with the P25 CAP GB to establish priorities for both new and revised test procedures

OIC will work with Department of Commerce (DOC) Public Safety Communications Research Program (PSCR), public safety, and industry to develop conformance testing procedures.

• Accreditation Services Transition:

OIC is currently working to transfer accreditation services from DOC/NIST PSCR to three participating accreditation bodies:

American Association for Laboratory Accreditation

ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board

International Accreditation New Zealand

DHS OIC expects to release a series of Compliance Assessment Bulletins (CABs) soon to establish transition policies for accreditation services

OIC will release these CABs for public comment
