Under the Workforce Investment Act, every State and Local Workforce Area is responsible for designating an Equal Opportunity Officer.

Single State Delivery System with a Single Workforce Agency
State has a Single Workforce Agency with Designated Local Workforce Areas
State has two Workforce Agencies with Designated Local Workforce Areas
One State EO Officer

Serves as the staff person responsible for overseeing the recipient’s civil rights responsibilities related to its obligation as a U.S. Department of Labor financial assistance recipient.

Conducting and/or coordinating the recipient’s equal opportunity monitoring program;
