manufacturer by the purchaser in order to obtain the gear required– The results of recent Systematic Review revealed that the standard is
used by ONLY ONE responding country member. Given that, the document is being considered for withdrawal.
• ISO 8579-2:1993Acceptance code for gears - Part 2: Determination of mechanical vibrations of gear units during acceptance testing– The results of the latest Systematic Review failed to meet the
required confirmation from at least FIVE countries that use the document. As a result, per clause 2.9.3.2 of ISO IEC Directives, the document is being considered for withdrawal.
