Representative block diagram for one with 250KW inverter isshown in figure below:

The system block diagram shown in figure contains the followingas below.

1. PV Array of the 250 to 500 kWp Capacity

2. DC cabling and protection devices

3. Inverters for the sub-system of 500*2, or 250KW-04 capacity per MW

The PV sub-array of 250 to 500 kWp DC solar power capacity is installed

on the ground with. Using appropriately sized DC cables with required surge

and fault protection devices the output of PV strings is fed to inverters. The

inverters convert the DC input fed from the PV to AC three phase outputs

which is supplied to the 11 KV transmission line and combined using

appropriate controls.

As shown in figure the sub-systems are all connected together either through an

underground cable bus running through all inverters (when they are placed

close to each other), or through on an internal transmission line (11KV),

which runs through the site to connect to all of the 11 kV transformers,

placed adjacent to each Inverter room. The internal grid and SCADA ensures that

all of the subsystems are connected as required and in case of fault on one of

these only the problem sub-system is isolated. The flexible operation of each of

the sub- systems allows optimal output for the total system ensuring

maximization of the financial returns.  8

This 11KV output is then supplied to the Main subs station as required and

then connected to the grid with appropriate protection, isolation and interlock

switchgear and transformers.

3.3 SCOPE OF SUPPLY AND WORK

We will procure all the components from leading domestic and international

suppliers consistent with your requirements.

3.3.1. Photov oltaic modules

All the modules will be provided by TGP Solar from own production facility.

3.3.2. Inverter

Inverters from leading manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Delta or

equivalent will be used depending on commercials terms and availability.

3.4 MODULE MOUNTING STRUCTURES:

The system being offered for s h a l l be mounted using a Fixed Mounting Structuredesigned for wind load of more than 150 meters / hour. Design of the same would be

produced for approval after receipt of Soil test report.

3.5 POWER EVACUATION ARRANGEMENT:

The system cost provides for evacuation to the sub-station and control

room on the site. It does not include the evacuation from site to Grid sub-

station. That will have to be done after a site visit and in consultation with

the local DISCOM, and the costing will have to be done with them and to be

borne by the client.

3.6 MONITORING OF POWER GENERATION:

In built inverter and module monitoring systems offered by the inverter

manufacturers supplied along with Inverter and combiner boxes shall be used.

3.7 PROTECTION SYSTEM:

When working with PV systems, there are a number of measures that should

be followed in order to provide safety for both the system and persons that

may be working with the system. Some of safety and protection issues will be

discussed in this section; measures that concern these issues are also

described.

3.7.1 .

Over Current Protect ion  For string over-current protection, reverse current ratting of module is 15A i.e.

comprehensive for the reverse current from other parallel strings, even so

circuit breakers are applied to strengthen string protection. Moreover, they will

also be useful as auxiliary switching device.

3.7.2 . Means of Disconnection:

All strings cables are connected with readily available two pole disconnection

devices in all active conductors. There rating is calculated considering string ’s

maximum power point current and short circuit current.

3.7.3 . Plug-Socket outlets and couplers

Since the voltage on each string is very high we install industry leading

standard plug and sockets to allow safe and easy connections.

3.7.4.  Earth Fault Protect ion

All PV strings are connected to earth through earthing pits, and an earth fault

sensor is installed to the earthing conductor, which in case of earth fault, will

disconnect the main string switch. This is already provided by the inverter, which has an insulation monitor. All exposed conductive parts are also

earthed including the module frames.

3.7.5.  Lightning Protect ion

Lightning protection is critical for large scale plants and appropriately design

lightning and surge arrestors are installed in the module systems and the

inverters.

3.7.6 . Outdoor Enclosures Protect ion:

For all outside enclosures for distribution box are IP 54 rated.

3.8. MANPOWER REQUIRED FOR O&M ACTIVITY

Minimum O&M is required for the power plant. This consists of regular cleaning

of panels, inspection of equipment for wear and tear from the regular use and

exposure to the elements.

The preventative O&M for the plant will be made available as part of Annual

maintenance contract and initial training and supervision of personnel will be

provided.

4. EXPECTED ENERGY GENERATION AT PROPOSED SITE

In order to ensure that the plant financials are based on reliable and

dependable inputs, TGP  SOLAR chooses to use multiple data sources and

overall conservative estimates for the amount of light received. The solarconditions at the site are as given from NASA data, compared to those from

MNRE and NREL studies. In addition, the analysis takes into account

additional guard bands for year to year variation and expected variation in

output.

For the site given, a 1 MWp plant with Fix module mounting structure and Multi

Crystal Silicon solar modules, the projected output would be 1 . 6 m i l l i o n

K Whr per year per MWp of the modules installed for the first year with average

radiation. However it may depend on actual site selected.

A simulation for the projected energy generation will be presented on

finalization of contract

5. SCHEDULE FOR PROJECT COMPLETION

The entire power plant shall be installed and commissioned within the period of 4months after Accreditation of the project, contract agreement and possession ofsite.

a). A complete and signed contract/purchase order along with required advance,

b) Handing over of a clear and accessible site with no encumbrances

Whatsoever.

6. WARRANTY OF COMPONENTS

Warranty of the major component selected for the projects is as follows:

Note: All warranties, as provided by any of manufacturer/supplier shall be in favorof the buyer/towards equipment and all the benefits shall pass on the customer,

for the period as specified by the supplier. These warranties are providedtowards safe working of each individual component and vary in validity period.
