Virginia area Three installations in Pennsylvania.

Navy looking to enhance compliance posture, minimize NOV’s, and improve and integrate compliance assessment reporting processes.

Implemented NFESC prototype assessment project using Enviance to develop a a Navy Online Environmental Compliance Checklist System (NOECCS)

Found NOECCS could easily provide capabilities for integrating Environmental Program data management requirements.

5

A Continuous Inspection Process

Quarterly reporting and assessments

Multi-media compliance inspections and observations

160 inspection areas

Over 700 data points

As funded, inspection items are derived directly from permit requirementsJerry Blau, Oceana EC Team Leader, 757-433-3435

Improved Inspection Process

• Checklists maintained in and printed from NOECCS

• One-time inspection data entry in NOECCS

• All inspection progress and assessment summary reports immediately available to all users at time of data entry in NOECCS

10

Benefits to the Program

• Enhances our compliance posture by improving inspection efficiencies and usability of assessment data

• Tracks and retains regulatory requirements• Reduces risk of admin NOVs

• Maintains continuous capability to track minor and major, short-term and long term corrective actions

• Provides capability for immediate assessment of compliance posture

• Provides data integration capabilities for other Environmental Program and Program Management areas.
