The group includes eleven talented and dynamic international and Irish students who are at various stages in their careers. They work across differ - ent and overlapping mediums from performance to painting, and their work deals with varying themes across time, identity and intimacy. Perceptions 2020 Tallaght Community Arts - DoubleTAKE Studio & Doors to Elsewhere 23 April - 15 May 2020 Opening reception: Thursday 23 April at 6pm ‘Work’ is a vital component of both social and personal identity, providing a daily routine, a sense of self-worth and supports physical and mental wellbeing, yet in Ireland less than 33% of working wage people with a disability are employed. Artists and performers from DoubleTAKE supported artist studio and the integrated drama ensemble, Doors to Elsewhere have come together in a vibrant exploration of disability and employment through film, performance, sculpture, collage and mixed media. Perceptions 2020 explores diverse narratives and ex- periences around employment; the pursuit of a ‘dream’ job and the discrimination encountered every day. BloodlineExhibition

14 Feb - 27 Mar, 10am - 6pm

This six-week intervention brings Andrei Molodkin’s studio, The Foundry, France, to Rua Red. The gallery becomes an experimental laboratory, researching the repres-sive language of power, censor-ship and exclusion. Molodkin’s intervention is an urgent attempt to provoke, articulate and counter the language of separation and marginalisation.

Rachel Lawell, 1 - 31 Mar

A series of artworks influenced by the Hollywood film scene of 1970s era, particularly movies by Alfred Hitchcock and the James Bond films. Lawell aims to create a dream like home for the women she paints, to become renewed and settled in this manmade environment.
