Jackling Introduction to Engineering
• Rising high school juniors and seniors
• Sun-Thurs for 3 different weeks
• Stay in residence halls
• 18 engineering programs
• Typically 170-200 students
• 80 will visit EE, 60 will visit CpE

Jackling Typical Day
Morning - Lectures and demonstrations
Afternoon - Visits to and hands-on activities in departments
Evening - Special presentations, competitions, and recreational activities

Minority Introduction to Technology & Engineering
• Rising high school juniors and seniors
• Sun-Thurs for 2 different weeks
• Similar to Jackling except smaller group
• One visit to most of the engineering programs
• ECE – 3 hours

CyberMiner Camp
• Rising high school juniors and seniors
• Sun-Thurs for 1 week
• Comp Eng, Comp Sci, Info Sys & Tech
• Each program has 1 day
• Typically 50 students

It’s A Girls Thing
• Rising 7th and 8th grade girls
• Mon-Fri for 1 week
• One visit to most of the engineering programs
• ECE – 2 hours
• Typically 30 students

Summer Solutions
• Rising freshman and sophomore girls
• Mon-Fri for 1 week
• One visit to most of the engineering programs
• ECE – 3 hours
• Typically 30 students

Expanding Your Horizons
• 7th and 8th grade girls from the local area
• One day in November
• Rotate among 4 45-min hands-on activities (20+ total) plus general sessions
• ECE – electromagnetic flashlight
• Typically 600 participants

SWE Lock-In and Pre-College Initiative
• High school students
• Weekend programs run by students
• One visit to some of the engineering programs
• ECE – 1 ½ to 2 hours
• Typically 30 participants

Boy Scout Merit Badge University
• 7th grade + students
• Electricity MB largely hands-on, culminating in building a DC motor
• Electronics MB lecture and demonstration in morning. Project building in afternoon
• Taught by faculty, assisted by students
• Typ. 10 in Electricity, 36 in Electronics

Project Lead The Way (PLTW)
• Training for Digital Electronics course in high school
• 2 weeks
• Typically 12 participants
