DAY OF SERVICE Tornado clean-up is Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Meet at the old Food Lion parking lot off APD-40 any time during the day. What? Has it really been almost a year? You have been saying you wanted to help. This is the time! Churches, businesses, civic groups, schools, families, and individuals, please come to help your neighbors! Yes, there is still so much do! Over 100 worksites need to be cleaned up from April 27 and March 2 tornadoes. First UMC on Ocoee Street will provide daycare for children 1 to 8 years old for parents volunteering, beginning at 8:15 a.m. Reservations required. ONLY TWO WEEKS left to clean out your closets, attics, basements, and any storerooms for the United Methodist Women’s Flea Market. They need all your extras, anything EXCEPT clothes, which you may take to Our Daily Bread. The sale is May 5, at 8 a.m., in the FLC. Get started now and make a stack for the UMW. There will be a pickup for large items one week before sale date.

GRADUATE SUNDAY is May 13. This is a special day when we honor the 2012 graduates from high school or college. We would also like to know future college plans of high school graduates and degrees earned by college graduates.

FRIENDS OF SUDAN GATHERING is Friday evening, May 18, 4-7 p.m., at Bearden UMC, Knoxville District, for everyone who is interested in hearing updates on “Hope for the Children of Sudan” ministry in South Sudan.
