Hello! You recently joined the BCBioHacking Meetup group. We are every excited to have you as part of our community. Our group is run in a democratic manner, with organizers acting simply as facilitators of a group process. This particular group is focused on using scientific methods for evaluating and assessing information and practices, with the emphasis on collecting and validating data in order to continuously improve. We see this methodology as being at the heart of what it means to engage in BioHacking. In line with this rationale approach to creating and growing our community, you are strongly encouraged to participate and provide your opinions on the topics you most likely would like to hear aboutas themes at upcoming events. We also need to evaluate members preferences for when to schedule Meetup's, how often to schedule them, for what duration, in which locations, how to contact members, preferences for appetizers, and what other types of activities might be of interest to the group. We would also need to evaluate what resources members would like to donate, such as time, money, venues, information, expertise, so that we can leverage the existing technical skills, experience, wisdom which can harness their contributions, expand our horizons, and leverage their expertise to further enhance our goals of radiating limitless energy, focus, health and flow in everything we do. We are therefore asking you to complete the following short 20-30 minute survey (Either anonymously or not) that will help all of us better meet the needs of all members. This survey will operate continuously until 9am on Monday 16, May 2016 . Should you not able to complete it fully, simply close your browser, and restart where you left off at a later time using the web link we have sent to you via email. You will also be able to go back in and change your answers even when you have completed the survey. You may complete the survey more than once from a single device. 1. Hello! You recently joined the BCBioHacking Meetup group.

We are every excited to have you as part of our community.

Our group is run in a democratic manner, with organizers acting simply as facilitators of a group process.

This particular group is focused on using scientific methods for evaluating and assessinginformation and practices, with the emphasis on collecting and validating data in order tocontinuously improve. We see this methodology as being at the heart of what it means to engage inBioHacking.

In line with this rationale approach to creating and growing our community, you are strongly encouraged toparticipate and provide your opinions on the topics you most likely would like to hear about asthemes at upcoming events. We also need to evaluate members preferences for when to schedule Meetup's, how often to schedulethem, for what duration, in which locations, how to contact members, preferences for appetizers, and whatother types of activities might be of interest to the group.

We would also need to evaluate what resources members would like to donate, such as time, money, venues, information, expertise, so that we can leverage the existing technical skills, experience, wisdomwhich can harness their contributions, expand our horizons, and leverage their expertise to further enhanceour goals of radiating limitless energy, focus, health and flow in everything we do.

We are therefore asking you to complete the following short 20-30 minute survey (Either anonymouslyor not) that will help all of us better meet the needs of all members.

This survey will operate continuously until 9am on Monday 16, May 2016. Should you not able to complete it fully, simply close your browser, and restart where you left off at a latertime using the web link we have sent to you via email. You will also be able to go back in and change youranswers even when you have completed the survey. You may complete the survey more than once from asingle device.

1. Introduction

BCBioHacking Survey

1

To improve the efficiency of data collection, this survey uses page logic, which means that answeringyes/no on specific pages will determine which page comes next.

Please note that we are a volunteer not-for-profit group, and none of the results we gather will be madeavailable, shared, sold or transferred to any private or public companies. Also, this link uses SSLencryption, so all data transferred between your computer and the SurveyMonkey database is protected. As members complete the survey, the aggregate real-time results, without any contact information, will bemade available immediately on the SurveyMonkey website for all survey participants to examine.

On Monday 16, May 2016 at 2pm the final aggregate information that we gather through this survey, cleansed of all contact information, will be published in a PDF document as a link on the BCBioHackingMeetup and Facebook pages so that only our members will be able to read and evaluate the entire studyfor themselves. Your input will definitely assist current and future members, as well as BioHackers in other communitiesorganize activities that foster a healthier planet and healthier human beings.

An asterix (*) next to a question identifies it as requiring a mandatory response.

If you have any questions prior, during or after your participation in this survey, feel free to contact thesurvey creator (Jake Sheridan) and BCBioHacking organizer at [email protected] We really appreciate your support in completing this survey!

I have another option you should consider (please specify)

22. Currently we can use an amenity building for free, as long as no other condo owners have paid$50 to have exclusive access. What do you think we should do?

Keep having events for free, but assuming the risk that sometimes the venue will be pre-booked without our knowledge

Try to find another venue in North Surrey that is free, just in case

Book the current venue for $50 per event, and charge members to attend

Keep having events free, but if the venue is unavailable when we arrive, simply move to a local Blenz coffee shop

23. If we had to rent the amenity building for $50 to have access the bathrooms, showers, steamsauna, circular networking couch and gym...how much would you be willing to pay to attend theevent?
