Steel Shopping is a feature that gives customer an option to place an Order on any seller (Favourite Dealer or Global Dealer) for steel products. Search is an option, provided to search members or non- members of the site. Non-members can only search non-members details where as Members can search both members and non-member details, which he/she desires. The links shown below will be displayed in the search page. 1. This is a facility that allows members to advertise to the world, on the
availability of specific materials. These advertisements are in the form of text messages that a member can put up to indicate a willingness to buy or sell particular products or exchange information in a public forum. This BBS service has been modeled on newspaper classifieds model. Thus if a member posts a notice, anyone can read and respond to the same but only the person who can read the responses is the one who posted the message.

This is one of the important features of SEI.com. The main aim of “Stock Transfer” is to provide information among all related branches of a company about stock transfers like STA(Stock Transfer Advice) details, STC(Stock transfer challan) details and transportation details etc., At any point of time one can view the status of STAs and STCs of any branch. Only members of that particular company can view data. One-company members cannot view other company data even though those are SteelExchangeIndia.com members. Only registered members can utilize this feature.

“Stock Transfer” module provides information among all related branches of a company about stock transfers like STA (Stock Transfer Advice) details, STC (Stock transfer challan) details and transportation details etc., It is very useful for Regional Managers & all other Branch Managers. At any point of time he/she can view the status of STAs and STCs of any branch on the net. Only members of that particular company can view data. One-company members cannot view other company data even though those are SteelExchangeIndia.com members. Only registered members can utilize this feature
Stock Transfer is mainly divided into two parts:1. Stock Transfer Advice Entry.2. Stock Transfer Challan Entry.
How to Enter a STA: Click on the "Enter a Stock Transfer Advice" link and enter the all details
like product category, subcategory, STA Number, STA Date, To Branch and remarks (Less than 250 characters). After entering all the above details press the "Show Products" button then it will show the all products related to the product category and subcategory, which are selected by you in the first screen. You need to enter only Quantity, Rate, and remarks for the respective products and press the "Preview STA". You have a facility to make changes in the page-1 by clicking the link and make necessary changes you want in the page-1 and press the "Show Products" button and don’t come to the page-2 by clicking the browser forward button. In Preview Screen check all the entered data and check the branches to send E-mails about this STA, before placing the STA in the net, because once you placed you cannot modify at any time.

How to Enter a STC : Click on the "Enter a Stock Transfer Challan" link (or) "Active STA for
You" it will display all STA details, which are requested by other branches to your branches. Click on the Selected STA, it will display all products which are available in the selected STA with all details like Quantity, Pending Quantity, Remarks etc. In this screen select the product which you want to prepare STC and enter the all details like STC Number, STC Date, STA Number, Quantity, Vehicle Number and Remarks (Less than 250 characters). After entering all the above details press “submit” button to submit respective details.
How to Close a STA: The person who can make the STC can also be Closed/Cancelled the STA
placed by other branches. Click on the "Enter a Stock Transfer Challan" link (or) "Active STA for You" it will display all the STA details which are requested by other branches to your branches. Click on the Selected STA, it will display all products which are available in the selected STA with all details like Quantity, Pending Quantity, Remarks etc. If you want to close the STA, enter the details of Closed Date and Remarks (Reasons to close the STA) and press the "Close STA" Button.

Reading Your e-Mail at your Desktop
We assume that you have some sort of an Internet connection, an account at a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP). Well, since you can read these, our assumption is correct :)
To fetch the mail in your SteelexchangeIndia mailbox you should
1. Either use a POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) mail client software (installed on your desktop computer);
2. or enable automatic forwarding of all incoming mail to your new account.
Typical POP3 Mail ClientsTypical examples to POP3 mail client software are the EUDORA, Microsoft Internet Mail (some versions are built in to the Microsoft Exchange clients software) and the mail module of the Netscape browser.
Regardless of the type of the POP3 mail client you use, you have to go through certain setup procedures to tune your client to the mail services provided by Steelexchangeindia.com.
