  • EPA Est. No. 97973-CHN-1

  • 1 Halogen pitcher (2 L) 1 Measuring cup

1 Spray bottle 1 Power cord

    1 Measuring spoon

    Packing List:

    Technical SpecificationsModel: V9 Voltage: 110 V ACPower: 20 W Capacity: 2 LOperating Time: 5, 15 and 30 minutes

  • Instructions:1. Place one teaspoon (5g) pure salt and 2 cups filtered water into

measuring cup. (Do not use iodized salt in this machine).2. Stir until salt completely dissolves.3. Pour solution into the Halogen Home device and top up water to

max line.4. Measure pH of water using Halogen pH test strips. If pH is 7 or

higher, add 2 teaspoon of distilled white vinegar.5. Place on lid and plug in the device.6. Select the desired concentration: Low (5 Minutes), Medium (15

minutes) or High (30 minutes).7. After device has stopped, test the hypochlorous acid concentration

with the Halogen test strips to confirm desired concentration.

Now your Hypochlorous Acid is ready to use. Just pour it into a foggeror spray bottle and start disinfecting.

Store in dark, cool place in a glass or plastic container. Do not storesolution in the Halogen Home pitcher. Use Halogen test strips beforeeach use to ensure the solution is ready for application.

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) Concentration and Wait Times

    Concentration Range Salt

    Distilled White

    VinegarPower Time

    100-150 ppm 1 tsp (5g) 1-2 tsp Low 5 min

    250-350 ppm 1 tsp (5g) 1-2 tsp Medium 15 min

    600-800 ppm 1 Tbsp (22g) 3 Tbsp High 30 min

How To Make Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl):

Above salt & vinegar measurements are for making a full pitcher (2L) of disinfectant. Adjust as necessary.

  • Cleaning Instructions:1. Never submerge base in water.2. Rinse pitcher with fresh water and allow to dry to extend service

    life.

    Unit is NOT dishwasher safe

    • While operating DO NOT place anything inside of the pitcher.• Keep solution out of reach of children.• Do not ingest solution.• Do not immerse device in water.• Disconnect power immediately if a leak occurs.• Rinse metal surfaces with water and wipe clean after specified

contact time.• Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL) is color safe for most fabrics. Prior

to using test it in an inconspicuous area. Do not use on silk.

    Caution:

Follow all instructions and safety precautions to ensure safe operation.

    Additional Information

    • Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a form of active chlorine at a pHrange between 4-6. Adding vinegar lowers the pH increasingyield and potency of disinfectant solution.

    • Filtered water is recommended to extend product life.• Low concentration solution is safe for use on foods. Rinse food

    thoroughly after application.

See website for a complete list of uses and additional information: www.halogenclean.com

    Chart & Graph:

Note: If your electrolyzed solution is between a 4-7 pH then Hypochlorous Acid has been produced. If it is above that parameter, you will have Bleach.

Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) Concentration and Wait Times

    Concentration Range Salt Power Time

    300-500 ppm 1-2 Tbsp (30g) Low 5 min

    500-800 ppm 1-2 Tbsp (30g) Medium 15 min

    1000-1500 ppm 1-2 Tbsp (30g) High 30 min

    How To Make Bleach:

Above salt measurements are for making a full pitcher (2L) of disinfectant. Adjust as necessary.
